what a unique take on the HIE genre. you have my attention

Interesting to say the least, will this story have clop? Fisto must know.

Perhaps. Though I think it best to leave it for the future to tell, eh? (Nice profile by the way, love Fallout New Vegas.)

The guy sounds like a merc. Instead I found out that he's alike to an old man being generous with his offers

It has good potential I'm excited to see what you do next keep up the good work

Interesting...

Peddler: A person who goes from place to place selling small items.

Thanks for the info was wondering when u were going to update keep it up

Lets get going now

So far I like this story so nice and simple

I agree nice and simple. But I do have a question or two

I'm a fan of long prose, but once it gets repetitive it feels like I'm wasting my time. You mention the grass in the valley twice: once in the description of the scene and then again through our peddlers perspective, maybe leave it out in one of them?

Definitely get a second opinion though, I'm just a person on the internet.

Yes, my editor has told me of my liking to repeat details, usually from different perspectives. I typically try to do this to demonstrate how certain characters might see certain things, be they environments, dialogue, or even other characters themselves, but he (my editor) does let me know when I go a bit overboard, heh. It's just my style, and I do try an keep such things to a minimum for clarity sake.

Thank you for the feedback, as I encourage people to give. I do hope that, besides for my (often) use of strange prose and structure, you are enjoying the story so far!

This is an entertaining story. You're coming up with all these characters that are really interesting and then on down the road leaving them behind. I find Fuzzy Bits fascinating on her own, just like all the ponies the peddler has met so far.

Well, such is the life of the weary peddler. I am glad you are enjoying the story so far!

I'm rather enjoying the travels of Mister Odd, myself.

I know we haven't been given a name, but he sells odds & ends, when you get down to tacks, and he's kind of an odd fellow given the typical flavor of the countryside, and the closet we've gotten to a name so far is really just "Mister", so for me, he's Mister Odd.

I go to town to town. They call me the wanderer can't remember that song

I am liking this.

😶 Did not expect that sand reference 🏜️
Glad to know that he's got some jedi in him:rainbowlaugh:

That, “We’ll miss you sign!”, was gold!

Why, in the god damn, is this not featured yet? 'Bout to catch hands with someone.

If people like it enough, it will happen. Simple as that. This is just a little thing I write to keep my pen busy when I'm not bogged down with other stuff. Though I am glad you enjoy this story enough to consider it worthy of being featured. :)

Well, I'll be waiting here for more. The story just scratches that 'Adventure' itch so well, and the characters he meets are all just so memorable. Hope they appear again sometime. But good luck on your endeavors and in due time, this will be featured, I just have a feeling.

featured is front page right?
Your wish is grated in that case

10576620
Well would you look at that...

You're a bloody soothsayer man. :rainbowlaugh:

Any chance for another chapter?

10663315
At some point, yes. This is really just a minor side project, and isn't very high up on my priority list. Never-the-less it will get updated...eventually.

Hope the magic in his fire log keeps his camp safe till he gets back.

What a fascinating story.

Story has my interest for sure. You write in a way where I don't even notice the time passing so quickly.

Glad you are enjoying it!

My brain keeps trying to turn this into a spaghetti western, even though I know it isn't.

"Who's that?"

"Oh, him? They call him the Peddler. Don't be fooled. He may look like a tramp, but he has wares from as far away as Cloudsdale. No one's really sure how."

"As far as Cloudsdale? Lot of ground to cover between here and there. How is he with a gun?"

"Listen, friend. You stand across from him as a buyer, and you'll see almost anything you could desire. But if you stand across from him as a gunfighter, the only thing you'll see is the inside of a coffin."

Alright, got it out of my system. Now, back to our show.

10753402
Ha! That gave me a chuckle. Thanks for that, friend.

... senpai, noticed me?

(is that how this works? how does this work? who the frell is "senpai" anyway? this used to be so easy 20 years ago why is it so hard now?)

I'm glad to have another installment of this! Enjoyed it. I wonder how long he'll travel with this caravan? Interesting interactions aplenty in the caravan and perhaps some sales and friendships made.

Ey, you're back! Welcome back.

Good story this, glad to see more of it. Aiet, our intrepid peddler shall now have to, socialize! The horror!

Ok, I am thoroughly intrigued by this. Definitely keeping an eye on this story. May Peddler get a great haul at the festival!
