ok so if we assume a bit we can guess some things. if the reason the alicorns canot move on is that they are teverd forever to their connectid force or celestial object (celestia will live till the sun dies and twilight till freidship dies eg both when the universe ends and sentient life dies out respectivly) then it is safe to say that the sorce of the magic is from the force or objects link to the alicorns sending it into the womans body as she is now their vessle. now celestia and the other alicorns have been dead a while so far and its not out of the question they might not be nice or reasonable anymore as for however long they have been dead they havent had any contact with others and taking the womans body is a logical option for them in their eyes as they see themselfs as more important and more deserving (and they have a broken contry to look at for self assurence if they feel guilty) this is BS but they think they know best and are unlikely to listen to reason.
Now what i think is happening in the woman in question is that the fusing of not only with one but 2 alicorns would have overwelmed her and her mind is trying to catch up but is struggling to deal with thousends of years of memorys and information from multiple individuals so while her mind is ocupied celestia and twilight take the oppertunity to take control (and possibly impeed the womans mind keeping up).
im hopeing luna alive or dead calls them on their what can only be called violation of an innocent woman's mind, body and soul as after suffering similer herself im hoping luna and maby cadence will help this woman gain control again then she could possibly be their ally insted of puppet

agreed the way i see it another factor could be that since celestia and twilight dont know the pain of possesion and imposters (the thing with the changlings where starlight solved it was over quickly) they view it as fine and cadence and luna are likely to help the woman due to luna knowing how bad being possessed is and cadence knowing how it can be to have someone ruin your image and pretend to be you (we dont know how long cadence was taken in the wedding but it wasent a rush job so she likely had to think and get mocked for a while before twilight came for her). over all i think a human with the alicorn powers and advice from all of them seems like a good hero for that world wouldent you agree (i know giving advice isnt much of a punishment but if they canot leave and she traps them in her it could be)

Good Points! As for the punishment? Maybe the Girl has had enough, then starts to take back her body. Then, once she is done. She can use her imagination to physically/mentally/emotionally Torture Both Celestia and Twilight for ever screwing her. And their Punishment is to be TRAPPED in her deepest conscious as a prison. Kinda like Naruto did to Kurama: the Nine Tailed Fox.
Then, have Luna and Cadence act as Guards/Wardens. And they might change Celestia and Twilight to their "Normal" selves. While, the Girl would at least use her Alicorn/Human Hybrid Body to at least Save their World. But, she will STEAL the glory out of Celestia/Twilight. And she will rule the reformed Equestria in their places. As Punishment to see her save, and rule their Kingdom. And NEVER give them their New Bodies with her New Magic Powers. 😈 😈 😈

i agree with the hero part but flat out tortue might make celestia and twilight feel right in theri assessment that they were better so insted an idea would be for cadence and luna to imprison them both in the womans mind where they are kept and unable to do anything like the woman was as she was stll likely getting new memorys but couldnt do anything as she was overwelmed. but yea cadence and luna imprison the others and act as the womans mentors/freinds/companions while she saves the world.
