I often think about this a lot. It's seriously not meant to be edgy, it just so happens that what I find arousing is what other people find edgy.
Then again, I don't help the situation with my user name and all that stuff, and it's written with an audience in mind, so I don't really mind if people see it as edgy.

Not so much the work but rather yourself. You can enjoy your kinks however much you wish—as I do my own, which are also strange—but it's your presentation upon that fact that counts. When you're edgy about this kind, as seen in your description for the story and your reply, well, that's how you come across.
I can't tell you how to be and whatnot. But next time, try not being so over the top about it, eh?

I'm just really forward on my story descriptions as I want people to know exactly what they are getting in for before settling down to read one of my stories. I know there are better ways to go about it, but the people who my story is aimed at are going to read it anyway, and the people who end up hating it or downvoting it were not likely going to enjoy it anyway.
It is also an in-joke as another gore author, Headless Rainbow, titles their chapters within their stories in the same way, only making them out to look innocent. I know people are going to hate me, and it's fine, because the story was not written for them, and I knew that this would be the cost for producing this type of content, but I don't care. I know there are people that enjoy my work, and they don't really have many people who produce content tailored to them, so it is for them I accept all the hate, and it is for them I produce my work.
Also, you can tell I don't take it all that seriously because of the jokey undertone within my stories. I love my job and nothing is going to discourage me. 10 downvotes, or 100, it matters not. Only about 10% of the downvotes are from people who actually read the story, and that other 90% can downvote all they want, I did the task of preventing them from reading the story and having a bad experience.
That's why I don't disable voting as well, people are free to hate me, but all the downvotes in the world will not stop me from serving my audience. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
