Lemon Crumble wasn't scared of anything. A young boy with lemon skin, green eyes, and brown hair, he was currently in his scuba diving suit, ready to check out what he could find in the Brendam Bay area. He rolled off the shore and dived in, swimming through the water. He didn't find anything interesting though as he swam along.

However, a giant red object suddenly caught his eye. "Guys, I've spotted something," he radioed.

"Cool! What is it?"

"It looks like a steam engine. It's red and has the number 150 on its side." Lemon Crumble swam over to the engine to take a closer look. It must have fallen in recently, given the superb shape it was in.

He swam around to the front to investigate the engine's face. Its eyes were shut. As Lemon Crumble studied the face, he heard a deep laugh. "Who's there?" he asked.

Suddenly, the engine opened its eyes.

"READY FOR ROUND TWO, THOMAS?!"

With Richard Ian Cox as Lemon Crumble and Ben Small as the radio operator.

Author's Note:

This is it for this story, and what a journey it has been. I hope you found it as spine chilling to read as I did writing it.

And yes, this does confirm one thing; this setting is firmly alive and kicking. I have a new anthology currently in the works, and it will be coming out some point in 2021.

Until then...Happy Nightmare Night.

That last line had a Sonic.exe vibe to it. ^^'

yes this story make my wheels wobble awesome work:pinkiehappy::twilightsmile:

*sniff sniff* Do I smell... SEQUAL?

Richard E. Grant as Timothy?
That was a good choice of an actor!

And if there is a sequel, I can only wonder who will serve with Timothy if Starlight is now put to rest.

But this was a good story for Nightmare Night 2020.

Who knows what may come on Heart's Warming Eve 2020? Only time will tell.

That was kinda the point. Both entities (well, technically X, as Sonic.exe is the name of the executable file that summons X) are ethereal entities that do not obey our world's laws.

10508207
There will be, but I can't confirm when.

10508256
I thought a seasoned horror actor would be a logical choice. In particular, I took inspiration from his performance as Dr Simeon in Doctor Who.

Hearth's Warming? Never fear, I've got something good lined up for that.

He also played General Pryde in the sequel trilogy.

But all in all, he was a good choice for Timothy

And I look forward to seeing what you have in Store from Heart's Warming Eve 2020

Back to the pit you crawled out of! Cross the streams boys!

Ghostbusters: light him up!

Damn hell spawn

Amazing!Im using the same ghost on Halloween next year. But,With Zy Skayr!

Wait, if Timothy didn’t die, then does that mean he’ll drag Starlight’s soul back, or can he move without a driver? Still though, brilliant end, though next time, they should send him to the smelters

10763930
There'll be an explanation soon enough.

10763974
Fair enough
Still, Timothy is one scary engine...

10764049
I mean, just putting aside the whole ghost train thing, he can teleport more or less instantly, and he can seemingly switch between being corporeal and incorporeal at will... and seems to be able to enter and exit Hell (or the Infernal Smelters, as I like to think of Train Hell) at will as well!

10764055
Did he ever truly die?

10764057
That... is a good question... they recovered his corpse, didn’t they?
Does that mean he’s not just a ghost train, but some sort of undead train?

10764063
Can an engine die, barring scrapping?

10764065
What animates them in the first place?
Without answering that question, I guess we’ll never truly know

10764072
That was interesting... and tells me that the only way to permanently get rid of Timothy, is the smelters... or an explosion... or the Marianna Trench (bit iffy on that one, since he could just teleport before reaching crush depth)

Still, I’m a touch concerned about Starlight, since they never did find her body to put to rest (unless I missed something), nor did they destroy Timothy

More shall be revealed.
