This does have a really deep meaning and a torrent of underlying emotion to it. Well done.
Wonderful, incredibly heartfelt stuff. Though we don't need to say goodbye as long as we keep writing. Still, thank you for it.
Throwing BIll Cipher into this was... awkward. You just changed his entire nature around. He DID believe he was eternal and unstoppable. He'd existed for eons in a dead dimension. I think you need to go re-watch Bill's scenes and listen to his statements. He was narcissistic beyond belief. He truly believed he was unstoppable.
And perhaps he is. There was his backwards spell, invoking an ancient power from Axolotl which would allow him to return in a new form. Hell, there's a case to be made (and I can't believe no one's ever thought of this) that Discord could have been Bill's new form. Discord in "Return of Harmony" certainly bears more than a few of Bill's personality traits: his enjoyment of twisting his victims and toying with them, warping reality and inducing madness and weirdness.
And on that same toke, Discord here is being rewritten without regard to his original character. It fundamentally alters his entire foundation and conflicts with his original goals and actions from Season 2 and 3. He had no such over-arching knowledge. He wasn't even at the level of Loki, trying to bring about Ragnarok. He was a quasi-sadistic prankster, most similar to Mr. Myxlplkt of "Superman".
And there again, I can't believe no one's made that connection either in all this time. All 3 of them could have come from the 5th dimension originally, or neighboring dimensions. Bill, being the most outwardly 'evil' of the 3, would have clashed with the other 2 who, despite their nasty natures, didn't like to completely destroy their toys.
