Aww, I was hoping Vinyl was gonna be some sort of simic-abomination/pacific-rim-kaiju too. Or that at least what they changed into was based off what they ate.
Now somebody should do a 'would it matter if I was' parody, but replacing the unsaid 'a changeling' with 'a minion of Bolas'.
I've seen Rarity fighting a giant crab I've seen before in a Elder's Scroll crossover but I certainly didn't expect the mareshark bit so well played.
Well, that was fun.
It was nice seeing how the ideas that bounced off of me congealed into this amalgamation.
And you left just the right amount of detail unsaid.

This was brief but fun. I only wish there was more of it! Crab Hunter Rarity deserves further adventures, and I like this crime-... er, crab-fighting Vinyl and Tavi.

Honestly, it's not the first time I thought about writing something longer (but only marginally more serious) about Rarity fighting giant crabs. I do not, however, have plans to do that in the immediate future; I still owe Admiral Biscuit (and myself) a story about an airship mechanic that I've been sitting on for months.
This is a true work of art.

I thought about it, but Vinyl turning into a jumbo shrimp seems a little underwhelming. Also, I did find several arts of Vinyl being a shark (not a shrimp), so I tossed that on the 'potential memes that I'm bundling into this story' pile.
I refuse to take any blame! D: I also demand a sequel!
