What form is Adagio in? She can't be in her original siren form...is she a pony in this one?

It’s explained in Shadows and in this story at a later point that sirens can take on a pony form to blend in.
I had always wondered what twilight and adagio talked about in that cell. especially with what twilight did to her sixteen hours later...

While I'm enjoying this story, there's one thing that bothers me to no end in this chapter. The timelines are all wrong. The sirens couldn't have been in Equestria within the past millennium. For one, the show shows the sirens' defeat by StarSwirl, which happens before the Elements and Tree of Harmony formed, which is more than a thousand years before the show starts. Another thing is that Luna knows StarSwirl and if he was there only 200 years prior, that'd be impossible.

It literally means 200 years from Adagio's perspective due to time displacement which she mentioned. It actually is far longer than that. Adagio herself at this point is over 2,300 years old, however due to time displacement if she had not gone through that, would likely be closer to 4,500 years old. However due to the confusing nature of time displacement, I have changed all the references to specific times to simply now state "Some time far in the past"
Hopefully that resolves the problem.

Well remember in Shadows he mentioned that he sometimes believes that there are times where he thinks the law isn't effective at changing or helping people. Chances are in his mind he felt that letting her go would be more helpful in showing her that she could trust the police to help her out of that life rather than just punish her for it.
So excited to read this in conjunction with Shadows Cast Over Sunset! :D This is just as good and i'm just so freaking hyped for the next chapter!!!!!!
Maybe after listening to Adagio's story, Twilight decides to help free Adagio by faking her death? Then, she disguises Adagio as a new pony so no one would be able to recognize her, and hires Adagio to be one of her workers at the Castle.

There was but then life happened and it wasn’t realistic to keep two stories updating on a strict schedule so Silence sort of became “when I get the time to write a chapter” deal. Another chapter is partially finished, but I’ve been busy. I’m prepping for BronyCon so maybe I can get one or two more chapters up before then.
At this exact moment as I write this I’m getting my Sunset Shimmer Tattoo finished on me. So I’m in a bit of pain at the moment.
