Following a heated argument with her father Jet Stream, Apogee has snuck out at night to go searching for a pony she hasn't seen in years, and only remembers from stories and photos: her mother, Delta Vee.
How will Delta react to seeing her daughter for the first time in years? How will Jet Stream cope with the first ever real argument he had with his little filly? And how will Apogee handle the pure, unfiltered truth about her mother?
Just like Savior, Family Photo, Anywhere But Here, Black Honey and Fast Car, this story is entirely based on Shinodage's blog telling the story of Delta Vee and her family. As always, all credit for the characters and the cover goes to Shino.

Heck Peebs, it's quite a sad and enjoyable story, even little comedic from seeing Delta’s awkward acting around lil ponyo. I really feel bad for all 3 of them, but mostly go to Delta on giving up both of her life and her smol filly behind, but at least right now Apogee is with her now. She doesn’t know how to be a good mom, but she’s trying to be one. I like how that she had an inner thought to scream at Apogee the hard truth about her birth that running her life, everyone has that in their mind in multiple occasions in their lifetimes, but rather to not speak them out for obvious reasons. The ending is absolute DAWWW moment.
I’m not hoping for both Jet and Delta coming back together now since they have their own lives and things to do, but they should find a good middle ground for their daughter.
Overall, great reading Peebs, you’re really nailing on this one. I’m looking forward to read incoming new stories from you.

Think you could do one where Apogee ends up living with her mom full time? Whether by Jet dying, or by just never leaving(maybe nobody thinks to look for her at the junkyard, Delta would have no reason to think Apogee isn't supposed to be there, or whatever you could think of that would make sense).

Came to these stories after seeing an audio-dubbed version of the first chapter from Space Ponyo's and I have to say dayum you nailed the feels here and your other stories about 🔺V, I saw in your latest comment that you've moved on from the comic, but can I say that I would be excited if you ever decide to come back even if just for a brief visit. You really are a great author and regardless if you decide to return to Space or Ponies in general, Twilight and I wish you well in your pursuits.
