“Now make sure you don't strain yourself. Take a few days to get everything working again before you try and fly home Miss Grizelda. That many casts coming off is bound to have made your muscles atrophy.”
“Yeah yeah, I’ve got three days left on the room, all I want now is a bath.” Another voice growled before the front door of the clinic was shoved open and a surly looking Griffoness stormed out.
It had been over six months. Six months since that little rabbit tore her a new one after her friend dumped her for that pink menace. She just wanted to head back home and be done with this. But noooo some stupidly little monster disguised as a rabbit had to add injury to insult and lay into her.
Luckily a patrol of Guards had found her outside their little outpost, though she didn't recall getting attacked that close to any buildings.
Still given how bad she was torn up she was brought to the closest horse-pitol. Which that early in the fall was nearly straight up to Cloudsdale as it sat over the Everfree drawing in materials for the winter prep.
She'd been banged up pretty bad by that rabbit though thankfully nothing life threatening, it was more than enough to keep her grounded for a while.
Also luckily Equestria had a rather sizable collection of bits set aside for any one injured by something from the Everfree and while she probably could have gone home months ago, she had been milking it a bit more than she probably should have. The first hint of some one coming to investigate her claim and she decided to cut her losses and 'be healed'.
Still, had she realized the best Young Fliers thing was coming up, Gilda would have been out of there the moment she was healed. Last she heard Dash was gonna compete in it and she didn't want any sort of encounter with her former friend.
All she wanted was a hot bath free of the casts, to see how many bits she could milk out of the government guy for 'travel ' expenses, and to get the heck out of magical pony land. This place was driving her nuts.
“Excuse me Miss Grizelda?” A rather soft voice asked.
Gilda rolled her eyes why wouldn't these ponies leave her alone? It never failed, some pony was always trying to ask after, her check on her, and everything since coming here, they were too damn nice, no one was like this. Back home this sort of crap always led to a trap, you never let your guard down.... you couldn't trust ponies either....
“WHAT!?” Gilda roared whipping around expecting to be facing down some mousy little pegasus mare. What she was not expecting was to be facing down a pink and dark blue set of kneecaps. Blinking in confusion Gilda lifted her head only managing to see to the chest level of the two ponies. Both of them pegasi though. Lifting her head further the griffon's eyes widened at the pair of ponies who stood taller than she did. A pair of ponies that had wings..... and horns....... and were surrounded by Royal Guard.
“Buck me...” Gilda whined.
“Really was that an offer? Because I’m not sure if Shiny is into Griffons, though I could probably convince him into a three way...” Cadence muttered.
“Thou are Gilda Grizelda?” Princess Luna demanded.
“Errr .. yess... ummmm your um... what do I call you?” Gilda muttered backing away a little.
“Princess shall suffice. We should like a moment of your time.” Luna stated.
“Well I don't have too long I was gonna head home......” Gilda muttered, she'd rather be back with the rabbit.
“This won't take too long actually. We are just checking up on something.” Cadence offered with a smile. Her horn lit up and a picture floated over to the Griffon. “What do you think of this?”
Gilda blinked looking at the dark blue earth pony. He looked like one of those Guard types fairly well muscled and she supposed not bad looking for a pony stallion. His cutiemark struck her as odd being a white wolf head howling on a crescent moon. It was a heck of a lot cooler looking that the usual stupid flowers and shit ponies normally had on their asses.
“Who's that?” Gilda asked.
Cadence blinked taking the image back then looking at it before shuffling it with some others she seemed to have pulled out of no where.”Whoops wrong picture lemme see..... why don't I have any good ones.” Cadence muttered before producing another image.
This one had some sort of long eared Diamond dog creature in a green long coat of some kind. It took her a few minutes to recognize the canine thing Dash had introduced her too before that stupid party.
“I've seen him before.. what about him?”Gilda answered tensing up a bit from the alicorn's stares. “ Only thing I know is he's one of Dash's friends and his brothers a dragon.”
“Oh.” Luna frowned. “That is all? We expected Spike 's leads to be a bit better than this.”
“What?” Gilda blinked.
“Well all Spike said was that Rahs thought she was pretty.” Cadence shrugged.
Gilda's eyes widened at that. She didn't think any one had ever called her pretty before. It was odd hearing it off clawed like this from a pair of ponies , Princesses at that. She ruffled her wings a bit debating whether or not she should ask more about that. He and his brother had been a interesting diversion from all the ponies in that town. Granted there was also the fact Dash thought they were cool and while Dash also thought that pink menace was alright, she was usually a pretty good judge.
Why the flock was she thinking of this?
A sudden explosion of light and rainbow coloration filled the sky as a loud boom shook Cloudsdale. The Guards and the Princesses quickly turned their attention from Gilda to the blinding light coming from the stadium and below the city.
“Seems we might be needed elsewhere. “ Thank thee for thine time Gilda Grizelda.” Luna stated turning take off towards the stadium.
Gilda nodded and turned walking off her self, she really wanted to get out of this place. Stupid ponies were screwing with her mind..... pretty .. HAH.....
Cadence turned to take off as well , pausing a moment to look back at Gilda a small smile creeping over her lips as she watched the griffon walk off, before the pink princess took to the air herself.

Actually according to Ponypedia Gilda's original name was Grizelda. So i just dropped it in as her last name
