The Tree of Harmony...
An ancient, mystical, and mysterious, tree that houses the Elements of Harmony. No one knows how long it has existed for, or why it even exists.
Many questions are asked about the origins of the Tree of Harmony, like how does this tree harbor powerful magic, or how did it create the Elements of Harmony. But a bigger question arises:
Is the Tree aware?
That answer rocked the thoughts of Twilight Sparkle when a large magical flux occurred in the Everfree Forest. She goes to investigate to see if the Tree of Harmony was alright, but she wasn't ready for what she was about to see.
Takes place a few weeks after the Season 6 Premiere.

Hello there. Not much I can say other than this looks like a darn good start to the story. I'm guessing "Castle-Mania" is going to be the canon cut-off point (though the alterations to canon are going to be subtle at first).
At any rate, the characterizations and references are quite well done so far and this looks fairly intriguing.
Well, on to the next chapter.
Again, excellent job on the characterizations, references and set-up for future chapters. I particularly liked the Mane Six's reactions to meeting the Tree of Harmony's equine form.
I'll definitely be looking forward to more, but I will also be quite willing to be patient.

Well I'm trying to relate Harmony to how Heilos depicted her in some of her art. But at the same time I actually run a RP Blog of Harmony on tumblr, and she basically very chill, even around Discord. Mostly because Discord was only doing what he was born to do: raise Chaos. Harmony is his counterpart and thus makes up the balance.
Besides, chances are she is aware of the fact Fluttershy helped reformed Discord so Harmony is easy-going toward him. It's kind of hard for me to have her get upset since, as Word of God puts it, she rarely ever raises her voice at anyone, even if she is angry. Like, you need to really get to her if you want to see her raise her voice.
A bit of a nitpick, but almost all of the italicization so far has been needless. Italics are for emphasis or delineating non-standard modes of communication, eg. a character thinking to themselves, the text of a letter, or the events of a flashback sequence. Also, you've got a few tense shifts going on there.

Sorry, writing is not my strong suit.
Plus the reason I use the italics is because I mostly use it for roleplaying events that occur and type normal text for dialogue. And that is how I have Harmony speak given her status as the literal spirit of harmony and order so it would make sense if she had an ethereal sounding voice.
Later she'll discover a new ability that would let her talk without the ethereal sounding voice.
It's been a pleasure to have some time to read this story so far. :) I'm happy that one character concept I made such a long time ago can inspire fanfiction like this. ^^

I'm just glad I could do it. ^^ Harmony is just a pleasure to RP as on tumblr, but I Just wanted to create a short story about her and everyday life alive with the Mane 6 and other important characters.
Plus I never knew she'd have such a positive reaction by others here. ^^

Fluttershy: umm, whats it like being a tree... that is, if you don't mind me asking.
1) Italics, from what I understand(not a writer, don't know many thing), usually used for a "narration inside of a narration". Someone's writing or telling a story inside your story. You shouldn't be using it like that.

Okay, I'm sorry for the lack of updates to this story. Probably went way over my head when I thought I could work on two stories at the same time. I know people appear to enjoy this story moreso over my main story that I am more focused on at the moment.
I haven't abandoned this story, I'm too focused on my other in-progress story to work on this. After all, this isn't going to be a full blown story like how GoL is going. Think of this story as a series of one-shots with Harmony enjoying her time with each of the Mane 6. Really the main reason I haven't updated was because I was, and sort of still am, having trouble thinking about what Harmony would do to spend the day with Twilight and Spike.
As for the italics, it is more or less the style I go for when doing a narrative, while italics with quotes is the character thinking. But in Harmony's case, she would speak with bold-italics as if she is speaking as a higher being.

Can you put it on hiatus then? As for italics, it messes with my brain. I keep thinking of a "narration(author IN a story) within narration(real author)", but then nothing happens, and story goes on. Sorry to say, but your style is not really supported by anything else I have ever read...
Keep writing.
This is very lovely story, though I do feel as if you need someone to act as a prereader, as some of the lines feel disconnected and awkward. Looking forward to when you continue
