Why are the character tags missing? Many of the newly posted stories also lack them.
Is this a bug, a coincidental oversight of the author, or some kind of silent protest against the oppressive tyranny of the site owners?

For the same reason why I had to load up chrome to reply to you (it wasn't doing the quoting right on my normal browser) -- The no characters thing happened in a recent story I posted as well. I didn't notice it until just a few minutes ago. I *HAD* selected characters but it didn't go through.
There are a lot of bugs in the system if you aren't running the latest version of chrome or firefox. It is too late now really to add the characters to the little story I did -- people found it or not.
