Epilogue

Fluttershy happily walked through her cozy cottage, smiling as she passed several of her animal friends on the way to her kitchen. Her animals, having lived with her for such a long period of time—especially Angel Bunny—noticed something was off with the Pegasus that had been taking care for them as long as they could remember. She had been acting rather strange the last couple of days, but they did not know what the cause of it was.

It had been exactly four days. Four days since she had met the creature whom she considered to be one of her most fascinating friends. Even though they had only talked to each other for a couple for minutes, she still considered him to be a friend. She wondered how he was doing. She truly did. That place. That beautiful, breath-taking place where she had met him was still in her head. She could not get it out… not that she wanted to. The ash-covered fields, the swords, the sky, everything was breath-taking.

In the past she might have been too scared to even open her eyes, but because of Twilight and the others her fears were almost completely gone. Sure she still had her doubts about somethings, and would occasionally get scared by a new adventure that presented itself to her and her friends, but she was defiantly not the mare she used to be. But in truth, when first laying eyes upon the ash-covered fields, she was nervous. But how could she not have been? Being transported from one place to another is not something she would have expected to happen. But it did happen, and thanks to it she got to meet someone who she would never forget.

But perhaps the strangest thing about all of it is that she decided… is that she decided to keep it a secret. She decided to keep it a secret from her and her friends. She wanted to tell them, tell them what she saw. She would have tried it to describe it as best as possible. But… she just couldn’t. She had no idea why, but something in her heart just told her it wasn’t the right thing to do.

Perhaps it was because of the way he felt. The way this ‘Unkindled One’—as he had called himself—felt. He felt confused. Conflicted, almost. Though he spoke of things she did not understand, she felt like it confused him too. The minutes flew by, and before she knew it, she was back in her cottage.

Those four days up until now were some of the toughest she had to face. Not because of what she had just bear witnessed, but because she had no idea what happened to her friend. She had no clue, no clue as to know if he had made his decision. The advice she had given him was nothing compared to the advice Twilight would have probably given him. But it came from the bottom of her heart, and that’s all that matters. At least she was honest.

But it still pained her. It pained her that she had no means of coming in contact with him. She was left in the dark.

Some would argue that she needed to move on and forget about the past. But this was something she could not simply forget. Perhaps one day she would tell her friends about it, but for now she would simply keep her mouth shut. Everypony has their secrets, so she can have one too.

“Oh, I wonder,” Fluttershy said to herself. “Will I ever see you again? What did you do? Did you make your own decision?”

He told her that Lords of Cinder had done something that would require you to gather all of your courage. Sacrificed themselves for the greater good. Did that mean he would do the same thing? Would he sacrifice himself for the greater good?

The Lords of Cinder did. So why wouldn’t he?

Probably because that would not have been his own decision.

Fluttershy was about to get some food for her animals, but a knock on her front door cut her off from doing so.

“Fluttershy!” a voice called out to her.

Walking towards her front door and opening it, she smiled at the pony who stood in front of her.

“Hello, Rainbow Dash,” she greeted her pegasus friend. “How can I help you?”

“You have to come to Twilight’s library! There is this creature that is like super tall and walks on two legs. It arrived in Ponyville just a few minutes ago, and I was lucky to bump into him.” Rainbow Dash replied with joy. “Come on, you have to see it!”

A creature that walks on two legs? Could it be?

Nodding her head, Fluttershy followed after her friend as they headed towards Ponyville.

Perhaps she would finally be able to see what the Unkindled One’s decision was.

Author's Note:

Decided to add this small epilogue. You can see this story as a prequel-ish story to my Bloodborne crossover: Papa Gehrman.

This was pretty good mate! Also, what happened to your Tales of Dark Souls story?

7190560 It had to be deleted.

7190579 Thanks for the watch!

Nice followup dude, I thought it was a bit better as a stand-alone, but it was still good.

7191078 Well the Age of Dark was supposed to be the age of humanity
the age where humans doesn't need any false deity to rule them, but an age where they can take their own destiny in hand.
though with Kaathe around, you'd guess he would try to use this for his plans
so we may have never seen a real age of dark but we've seen what happened in Oolacille when humans comes in contact with Dark
they turn into malformed beast for some, while others return to a state closer to the Dark soul
and we all remember how ugly got Manus.

so yeah on one side you can sacrifice yourself to keep a fake age of light going until someone else comes to take your place, on the other side, you take the first flame for yourself, and allow humanity to reach his real form so the hollows may rule.
or you can let it fade, knowing that in the dark, a new world will rise, one without Fire or Lord souls, one where everyone is free to choose his destiny.
At least that's how i see the endings in Dark soul:twilightsheepish:

On a fun note, while going through Lothric castle, have you seen how many statues of Frampt you can actually find ?
To them he must have looked like either a guide or a deity, kinda fun to see that after all those years Kaathe and Frampt are still fighting each other.

We can believe the lies of an endless cycle, we can submit to the will of those who light the flame or those who worship the darkness, but, among the ravings of a mad cannibal so powerful he was made a Lord of Cinder, there is a truth. A truth, a single string of words, that brings the cycle of the Flame, the gods of Lordran, all and sundry, crashing down around the ears of those who worship, so blind in their admiration. And it is this:

THE AGE OF DEEP WATERS COMETH.

I accidentally killed the fire keeper when the world was fading out...

I wish you would continue this. I'm not really a fan of Bloodborne. It's cool and all, but I prefer dark souls. I like armor and swords and magic. Not guns and blood. Not to mention im a PC gamer, and Bloodborne is ps4 exclusive.
