I felt like if I made it longer, I would have ended up going too infodumpy at the backstory.
It's not super heavy on the AU, but it's different enough that people might be confused.
That was better than I expected.
Not that I really expected anything, it's just that I usually don't read Next Generation fics. This was super cute.
