Lyra did not handle that right -- she was CLOSE but didn't go that extra distance.
She went the "Humans are not real" route, but I could feel some subtext (as could Lyra) of the far better #3.
2) She could have trusted herself and said "Yes you find humans and they will destroy the world." This at least she would believe but maybe not act on the way you want her to.
3) She could have done much more insidious subtext to her journey. SAY that humans do not exist, but "say" that things get wrecked if you do find them. With the way future Lyra feels, she didn't need to do much more to pull this off. She should know herself well enough to know that she loves chasing mysteries. Embed the message correctly and she could stop on her own without being told to.
6487255 I agree, she seemed to suffer from the same mental disorder that characters in horror movies do, where everything could be avoided if things were just explained clearly, but if they did that then the mood would be all wrong.
A better option for Lyra was to go back and off herself. Hard choice for the best results.
To be honest i expected alot worse and alot longer for some reason not sure why. I'll have my full thoughts and usual witty ideas and humor in the full video but for now It was a decent quick doomsday fic of good quality as usual Dr

Ya I'm diving into a lesson about string theory and Mulitverse theory for this review because it's two things that tie into time travel.
