Twilight and her friends are always the first to be sent in when danger arises, and Celestia always seems to be on the sidelines, but why? Twilight is determined to find out.

Or she could have killed Chrysalis and ended the whole problem right there...

7254348 And the moment Chrysalis died another Changeling would take her place and launch a war of revenge.

Readable, but not great. Frankly, going by the tags, I was expecting something more. "I can see into the future and it was the best option I had" is more of an "oh, okay then" moment than dark in any sense.

7254731 I wasn't sure if this counted as dark or not, so I added it just in case.

Well, depending on how unhappy Celestia is, it might be. Personally, I think it didn't need to be there, though.

You need quotation marks at the beginning of paragraphs 8 and 18. This is a good story, but perhaps there could be something more. I was expecting something else to happen. This is just a conversation, but I liked the way how you wrote Celestia. Have a like for trying!

I loved this!

Well, this was disappointing. I was hoping for something wacky and yet you attempted to make Celesta near Omnipotent towards the future and completely drain her of anything interesting.

Your reasoning for every option is poor with only the Dragon one making some sense. The correct answer for Nightmare Moon was that only Twilight and her friends could use the Elements of Harmony. And why wouldn't Sombra be defeated by a force of Equestria's best mages and soldiers?

Worst offender was the Changlings. A large group of Changlings were defeated by six mares; a seamstress, a baker/party planner, an animal keeper, a farmer, a stunt pony and a bookworm. A proper military force, unburdened by a surprise attack, would have defeated them soundly. If Celestia could see into the future, her proper response would be to root out the Changeling infiltrators with Changeling detection tools and then kill Crystalis as soon as she entered the capital. A bloody war? Changelings need ponies alive to feed off of. Dead things don't love.

What makes Celestia the Chessmaster interesting is that she reaches into the void of the Unknown and sets things in motion to give her the outcome she wants. Celestia the Omnipotent, however, is boring because she is reading the script and just makes changes to suit her needs.

How easily Twilight just shrugs and accepts it also is disappointing.

My suggestion is to delete the story and just stick to talking about your headcanon in forums

7531618 Fine, if you want to be an ass I can too. :ajbemused: You clearly don't even know what omnipotent means? It is having unlimited power; able to do anything. Now try and explain how future telling is the same as omnipotent, you may want to use smaller words.

Because you cleanly didn't read the story, and just went into rage post mode the moment you saw something that didn't fit your headcanon; I'm now going to explain each of the villains to you, don't worry I will use small words.

Nightmare Moon, one thousand years ago Celestia fought her but was too weak to beat her in single combat and so Celestia was forced to rely on the Elements, so it stands to reason that if Celestia could have beaten Nightmare Moon on her return instead of sending in Twilight she would have. I don't view Celestia as someone who would send Twilight into danger if there was another way.

And why wouldn't Sombra be defeated by a force of Equestria's best mages and soldiers

Two reasons, first Sombra could block the magic of unicorns with his dark crystals, effectively cutting Equestria's military strength by 1/3. And second, They didn't have the time. The whole episode was a race to get the Crystal heart.

Changelings, again it seems all your mad about is that I'm not following your headcanon, well too bad for you people have different headcanons. But lets get to your points,

A large group of Changlings were defeated by six mares

and then the main 6 were defeated by an even larger group. If you are trying to say changelings are super weak I don't buy that. Not only can changelings fly and use magic they also have chitin that acts like a natural armor. And have you ever hear of plot armor? Of course the main 6 beat a lot of changelings they're the main characters, remember this is a kid show so you can't take every thing at face value.

If Celestia could see into the future, her proper response would be to root out the Changeling infiltrators with Changeling detection tools and then kill Chrysalis as soon as she entered the capital.

Celestia is not a ruthless killer; I don't even think she would kill Chrysalis given the change. That's one cold headcanon you have a Celestia. But to the point, let's say Celestia trapped and killed Chrysalis...well then another Changeling would take her place, and then you have a war of revenge. Kingdom have this little thing call "hairs" that enure that if the rule dies the kingdom will not.

A bloody war? Changelings need ponies alive to feed off of. Dead things don't love.

:facehoof: Really? Is that the best logic you can come up with, are you even trying? Here's an amazing idea: Changelings don't kill everyone! Seriously, does this really need more of an explanation, for you likely, go read you'll figure it out.

I find having Celestia as a future teller make her far more of a "Chessmaster."

How easily Twilight just shrugs and accepts it also is disappointing.

What did you expect her to do stomp out of the room vowing vengeance? And she doesn't just shrug and accept it, try reading.

My suggestion is for you to delete your account until you learn that some people have different headconons then you.

7534117 You seem to be under some weird delusion in which you think this is up for debate, it is not. I don't care what your headcanon is it has nothing to do with this story, so it has no place in the comments. Dislike the story and move on. :ajbemused:
