Discord feels Equestria has become a little boring as of late. He feels the need to make life a bit chaotic. Pranks would normally alleviate this but the citizens of Equestria had become accustomed to Discord's antics. A lack of true friends sharing Discord's sense of humor in Equestria compounds his frustration. Another dimension provides the answer to both problems: a hypersonic octopus with a penchant for impossible feats, gossip, and sweets. Korosensei, the unkillable teacher, finds himself roped into Discord's scheme. Equestria is about to get a taste of Mischief from Tartarus infused with not-so-murderous intent and tentacles!
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and all affiliated characters belong to Hasbro.
Assassination Classroom belongs to Shueisha and is written by Yuusei Matsui.
Chronologically, this occurs after Make New Friends but Keep Discord/Rainbow Rocks (in MLP:FiM) and the Civil War Arc (in Assassination Classroom).

As far as we know, after all neither manga or anime covers every day of the school year, Discord could have popped up in one, besides, Korosensei is to devoted a teacher to give up his students.

Burnout has been an issue but time is what I don't have. Between my last year of undergrad, applications, and now grad school, I have less time to work on this story than I want to. Nevertheless, I plug away at the next chapter whenever time is available. Can't provide an frame of time for when the next chapter will be up but it will be published in time.

Yeah I know what you mean, you wanna write a fun story, but you've got other, important commitments. And nobody would blame you for putting them first, ahead of an online story. Work on it when you have time, if you lose interest before you finish, do not feel bad about it, plenty of really good stories go unfinished, it happens. Just try to have fun with your story, and write the story, you want to tell.

Hey everyone! Here's the latest chapter and I hope you enjoy it! When I planned the story out a while back, this chapter wasn't part of it. I just had the idea for this chapter one day and rolled with it.
As for the future, the story will be on a temporary hiatus. I know it doesn't mean much given how long it takes for chapters to come out but I always start work on the next after I post one. However, I'm starting my last semester of grad school so I need to focus all my strength on finishing that. I will resume work on the story after I submit the necessary paperwork and my brain has reformed from a tapioca-like substance. That'll be sometime in late May.

Does Fluttershy really not share Discord's sense of humor?
Love this fic so far. I haven't really read much of Assassination Classroom so I'm not too familiar with the source material but Koro's personality certainly shines through. It feels like the last few chapters have slowly gotten away from his wacky hijinks and more into trying to build a narrative, especially since Discord toying around with the portal is likely to make Koro's return not as smooth as expected.

I don’t really have an explanation for why this chapter took so long to finish.
Anyway, this chapter marks a personal milestone for me. It is the last chapter that I started while in school. This story was conceived during the latter-half of my time as an undergrad and this chapter was started midway through my Masters program so its the end of an era. Here’s looking to bright future and more chapters!
Fun fact: This chapter mostly takes place in a ponified version of the university where I received my Masters degree. Kinda symbolic.
