I Love You Too

Double sadly skied down the hill. After his encounter with Starlight and her saying she didn't love him, he was depressed. He loved her more than life itself. Why didn't she return that feeling?

"Starlight Glimmer

The love you had for me just simmered

Why did they do that to you?

Why so soon?"

Double gritted his teeth, annoyed. "WHY DO I KEEP BREAKING INTO SONG?!"

Because you love her. his mind said.

"You're right..." Double immediately shook his head. "No! She ditched me!"

Then why are you wallowing in sorrow about her?

"Because... because..." Double didn't know what to say. His conscience was right; he did love her.

Double straightened up. "I need to get her back!" he exclaimed.

He skied faster, and saw the band of villains torturing his village.

Starlight grew as tall as a giant, and stomped over the villagers.

Night Glider flew up to Starlight's face. "Hey! Starlight Glimmer! What the heck are you doing?"

"What am I doing? I'm giving you all payback! And the rest of Equestria will suffer the same fate!" she hollered. She was so loud that Night tumbled into Party Favor and Sugar Belle's hooves.

"Why, Starlight? What did we do to you?" Sugar Belle pleaded.

"Why? WHY?! Because you villagers humiliated me! I am here for my revenge!" Starlight was just about to strike Sugar Belle when Double ran in front of her.

"STOP!"

Starlight scowled. "Double Diamond? What do you want?"

"I want you to stop. Look at this chaos you've caused with the villains. Do you really want to be a part of it?" Double explained.

"Actually, y- wait. What are you saying?"

"I'm saying that you need to stop,"

Starlight went back to her regular size and took Double's hooves. She closed her eyes and leaned toward him. When Double realized what she was trying to do, he beamed and started to do the same thing as Starlight.

It was Nightmare Moon who stopped them. "YOU BETRAYED US, STARLIGHT GLIMMER!"

"Nightmare, I want out of this," Starlight declared.

Queen Chrysalis scoffed. "I guess love overcame you. What a pity. Oh well, now we can destroy you and your boyfriend too! We'll start with Glimmer."

Chrysalis was just about to hit her when Double stepped in between them. "STOP!"

Chrysalis, not noticing who she was striking, made Double unconscious.

"Double Diamond!" Starlight cried.

She vigorously shook him. "Wake up, Double. Now. Stop pretending and wake up."

To her dismay, Double's blue eyes didn't open.

Starlight's purple eyes filled with tears as she sobbed in Double's chest. "I love you,"

Though she didn't notice, Double woke up and looked at Starlight. He grinned as he said, "I love you too."

Starlight's head shot up when she heard his voice and he saw Double smiling. "What did you say?"

"I love you too," Double repeated.

Starlight couldn't keep her excitement as she kissed Double passionately on the lips. Double's eyes widened in surprise, but soon they closed blissfully.

Once they broke apart, Double uttered, "Marry me,"

"YES!"

They kissed again.

Starlight vowed to be a better citizen, and everypony else believed her. Fortunately, Starlight was true to her word.

And for the villains? Apparently, Starlight and Double's kiss was magical, and it blasted the villains somewhere that's far, far away, and never to be seen again. And this time, it was really true.

Author's Note:

Whew! It's over! Now I can focus on the other stories, especially The Wedding Memories!

I would assume that their kiss would blast Chrysi far away but as far as the rest of them, I wouldn't think it would even affect them. This ending seems horribly rushed. Starlight goes from not wanting anything to do with DD to suddenly loving him? Why did she suddenly change? Was it because he took Chrysi's punch? Still a great story though.

This is AU. I wanted all the villains to be blasted off, not just Chrysalis. So I thought, "Oh, what the heck! It's AU."

And sorry if the ending was rushed.

ummm this was kind of short. i was hoping this would go more along with betrayal and stuff. but the end was really rushed and it could have been. she wants to repent and goes to twilight and co. but other then that it was OK.

5879852 i'm, sorry to add to your frustration, i was just trying to add to constructive criticism. i'm sorry it came out more annoying then anything. but i needed to put out my 2 cents. even though i should have known to just keep quiet. and again am sorry for what i said.

and i hope your life will give you more time. maybe to adjust this when you have the time. if not either way it was an excellent story.
