Finding Starlight Glimmer

Prologue

Double Diamond was skiing around when he reached a stop. In front off him was a shivering mare with a pink coat with a purple and blue mane.

Double Diamond reached out to the mare. "You okay?"

"Does it look like I'm okay?" the mare snapped.

Double blushed. "Sorry. Here, I'll help you get out."

"No. I got it." She used her Unicorn magic to pull herself out of the snow.

"Wow, not even I can do that!"

"Says the Earth Pony,"

Double blushed again. "Yeah," He extended his hoof to the girl. "I'm Double Diamond,"

She shook his hoof. "Starlight Glimmer,"

Double stared at Starlight. Her pink coat was so pretty, her mane so perfect, and her eyes... those awesome amethyst eyes... Double could get lost in them forever.

She's so beautiful...

Double snapped out of his daze.

"Hey, Starlight, you look like you need a place to stay. I'll take you in."

"Really? Thank you, Double Diamond."

Double happily walked away, Starlight following him.

Double Diamond woke up with a gasp.

It was another one of his dreams about Starlight.

He had been dreaming about her ever since she disappeared in that cave.

They just wouldn't stop coming. So far, he had had one of him and Starlight on a date, them holding hooves, them about to kiss...

If only I had stayed asleep a little while longer...

"SNAP OUT OF IT!" Double scolded himself.

But his mind couldn't stop thinking about her.

"Starlight Glimmer

As pretty as Celestia's sun's shimmer

Her eyes are like an amethyst

When they look at me, it's like a kiss..."

Double gasped. "DID I JUST BURST INTO SONG?!"

Realization hit him. The dreams, the song, his endless thinking about her, it all meant one thing.

He had to go find her because he loved her.

After seeing Double Diamond remember his time with Starlight Glimmer in Part 2 of The Cutie Map, it made me a StarDiamond shipper.

This is a fic focused on that ship, because I want to expand it.
