The Birthday of Pinkamena Diane Pie is the day after the Birthday of Gummy, according to Party Of 1. That means that the day of the Carnival should be the day of the birthday. Also, The 1st birthday of Gummy is Party Of 1, so Pinkie Pie should move to Ponyville less than an year after this story. Since Part of 1 happens near the end of Season # 01 and Pinkie Pie already lives in Ponyville when Miss Twilight Sparkle arrives, Pinkie Pie should move to Ponyville in less than half an year.
It is interesting that foals can become independent at such an early age. In our world, humans do not try to leave home until their early 20s. Because paying the bills is so hard, they frequently have to move back in with their parents. It is not until their early 30s that humans move out out on their own for good. Ponies, in the show become independent in their teenaged years. I have seen 2 explanations for this:
* Magic makes living so much easier that ponies can become independent much earlier:
* The ponies in Ponyville get money from generous Miss Rarity, thus Making their lives much easier:
As we know, finding gems is the special talent of Miss Rarity. The idea is that this special talent is rare (less than 1 out of a million ponies have it). Miss Rarity finds valuable gems by the ton. Miss Rarity gives every foal, filly, colt, mare, and stallion in Ponyville money because she is generous. This is why she, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash can afford to live on their own When Miss Twilight Sparkle moves to Ponyville despite all being teenagers.
This is an interesting idea, but we do not know. Interestingly enough, the HuMane 5 are about the age of the ReMainIng 5 of Season # 01 of the show.
Sunset Shimmer seems to be in her mid 20s, but cannot make ends meet, so thus lives in an homeless-shelter and pretends to be an High-School-Student. Since see cannot work and go to school at the same time, this will only prolong her stay in the homeless-shelter before she can afford to get a place of her own. Even if she wants an High-School-Diploma so that she can get a job, it would make more sense for her to take the text for the GED (General Education-Degree) If 1 cannot finish High School because something happened, one can take the test for GED. The test is a day-long grueling examination covering everything in High School. If one passes, it is as good as an High-School-Diploma. Her attending High-School seems to be a way for her to hide from her problems rather than deal with them. Given that her problem is that after she had an argument with Princess Celestia, she stormed of through a magical mirror and went from the personal student of the Equestrian Monarch to an homeless human, I see the appeal of of pretending that her problems do not exist, but not confronting her problems means that she remains an homeless human.
The Dazzlings are thousands of years old, but appear about 20. They pretended to be teenagers so that they could get at the Equestrian Magic they detected in CHS.
The HuMane Twilight Sparkle we see at the end of Rainbow Rocks seems to be in her early 20s and an University-Student.
