Spike just so happens to hear the noise at the end of the story and gets captured along with shitting my pants in a corner here

Plus it said Pinkie used 3 seconds to chop of 3/4 of Celestia's horn,knock her down to the floor and chop off Twilight's ear while tying them up. In the 1st second she could've flown to the Ceiling to prepare for Pinkie. It wasn't shown that Celestia fought Tirek once but many fans speculate that due to the fact he's one of the major bosses in MLP. Thus meaning just like how Twilight battled Tirek Celestia just might have been fighting him once in the same way.
