Twilight knew she had to do this on her own, helping a friend was important. She just couldn't let her down at all, she reassured her that she will get better. Ways of curing her was going to be a new challenge, a challenge that was going to be a risk worth taking. 'I know I can do this, I know I can. Horn, don't fail me now'. She gives everything she got, no matter what the task is, even no matter how difficult it is. She knew she had to do it, she just had to....or else?
Story was inspired by the 2010 movie Marmaduke.

A fairly interesting story so far. In particular I liked the Rarity scene where the Mane 6 were decorating and the fact that you included Celestia telling her grandpa about the others.

It did make me feel pretty down or at least made me ponder my past. 3 of my grandparents died when I was pretty young. (before 7) So I never really got to know them. My grandma who I was closer to died about 3 years ago but she also wasn't directly in my life at the time.
Grandparents are hard. They can be highly influential on their grandkids lives but reading this story made me realize just how little affect mine had on me.
It was a pretty melancholic feeling, but an interesting one to experience none the less.

I never knew my grandfather on my dad’s side. He passed away even before I was born. So, I can kinda relate to where you were coming from. My mom’s side, however, I know my grandparents. They’re still alive and well. They’re a big part of my life, even though they live overseas in Hong Kong.

I tried. There was no mention of his parents from the show, since he was merely a background character before and side character. So I had to develop something about this family.
The multiple paragraphs of dialogue I wrote about his parents are inspired by my own experiences, kinda. According to Hooves, his parents were not around much growing up. So, I thought about what it was like having working parents.
My mother was a hard working parent for a government agency, she was around more than my own father growing up. This is opposite of Hoove’s situation with his father, my father was around just not always by my side.
