I didn't get Hippoloogian, but I sure got Snobbinese! Wow! I thought that Derpy was about to take sides for a second, and then Lyra went berserk and Octavia killed her clock. Only Ron Burgundy can sum up my thoughts on this chapter after a touching Chapter 9:

Hippoloogian arose from me trying to explain the rules of Equestria to Scout a few weeks ago. I kept hammering in that ponies were sentient, but she kept asking about other animals. Eventually I threw my hands up in the air and said, "If it has four legs, it talks." Then she went into a big, involved discourse about trying to make up languages for each of them. Hippoloogian is the only one I remember. In short, inside joke. Snobbinese was entirely on the fly.
I think that's the first time I've seen you use an internet meme! Put it up on the scoreboard, folks!

In Chapter 11, the scene in the clock store was the second time in this story you gave the ol' heartstrings a good yank (the first being Berry Punch and Derpy dancing in the shower of bubbles).

I'm very glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read these lines, which got me ready for this gem (great setup by the way):
