Wannabe Scholar

Just an idiotic amateur who likes to read (and sometimes write) and is more interested in the fandom than the actual show... that's not strange, is it?

E

(A Star Wars/MLP crossover) When mysterious spaceship crashes in the Everfree Forest, the Mane Six go to find it. When they do, the pilot is missing, but he had left behind a few objects, one of them in particular being a glowing red pyramid known as a holocron.

Unknowingly, the harmless object opens the Mane Six to a galaxy beyond their own. It shows them a history written in the stars of a war between light and dark, a history that involves the princesses and a history that is tied with Equestria’s past.

Now that history has caught the attention of the Mane Six, especially a rather curious Twilight Sparkle.

Disclaimer: I don't own Star Wars or MLP. Star Wars was made by George Lucas and is owned by Disney while MLP belongs to Hasbro and Lauren Faust.

Author’s Notes: This story takes place after the season 3 premier. I might turn it into an AU fic.
Also, special thanks to Brony Tron and Coda Crescendo for pre-reading my story. Thanks guys!

Star Wars. Sorry I forgot to mention that. Let me just put a disclaimer up.

Which Star Wars? Post-original trilogy? Old Republic period? The expanded universe?

Ok, the mention of this being Expanded Universe has me curious :3
Mind if I as at what point in the EU this takes place? Before the Clone wars or after?
(I suddenly feel the urge to re-watch my star wars movies)

Seemed more like an epilogue...

I'm worried that you've put too much focus on the mysterious force user. Stories that are all about the alien hero saving the day are awful; if the ponies, especially the two sisters are/were helpless without him then who cares that the pathetic native race being saved happened to be ponies?

They're the rulers of a large nation, and the closest pony equivalent to the Jedi master; making them out to be Lulu and Tia, the sisters missing their special, mysterious friend, does not inspire confidence that there will be strong characterization for any ponies.

Yeah, now that I look at my story, I realize I should have changed quite a lot of things.
It does does seem more like a prologue and it would have been better as a prelude. As for the Force user, yeah do you bring another point there. I originally didn't plan for him to be a savior of Equestria, rather someone the princesses knew. I'm going to need to fix that.

To be honest what I took issue most with wasn't that he was a hero, but that the two Alicorns were too normal. Force users are almost always heroes/notable, and simply being alien makes him stand out even more. I'm more annoyed that the two princesses did not act like princesses at all. I get that some people prefer to write them as acting vaguely normal with each-other, but having the first look at them display them as just two sisters kind of undercuts writing their pseudo-goddess aspects.

It's fine if they're not much more powerful than exceptional mortals (there's tons of leeway regarding pony power-levels anyway), but it would be nice if they at least appeared somewhat distinct. Luna clearly has a thing for the dark/evil theme in the cartoon. She even has storm effects when she's angry. It's hard to reconcile that with "Lulu" chatting with her sister.

'Everything is Too short!" - Wrong Way Backards Part 2, Doctor Whooves and Assistant.

Yellow Lightsabers strictly belong to the Jedi Sentinels, who are normally not found inside of Jedi Temples and instead traverse the galaxy on priority covert missions to root out the Dark Side and investigations, these Jedi are rarely known openly by other castes of the Order because of their secrecy. The Sentinels serve as liaisons between the Jedi Order and the Republic, along with investigating worlds for Force-Wielders that could become members of the Jedi Order when the time is right. Judging by the obcurity of this mission, he was in the process of delivering a holocron, and it's a Sith Holocron (Based on the fact that Jedi Holocrons are normally cubical while Sith Holocrons are Pyramid-shaped). Though I wonder why this Sentinel only had ONE Lightsaber on-hand, Jedi Sentinels normally operate with Two Lightsabers while on missions in the field, though you could argue that his second lightsaber was destroyed on his mission and that he fled into hyperspace before he could requisition another from the Academy due to him becoming One With The Living Force.

... GYAAAAARRRRGHHHH!! :flutterrage: It's been a month already! When's Chapter 2 coming out?!?

Oh shite, oh shite, oh shite. Darth Bane, the Darth Bane, THE Darth Bane! Creator of the Rule of Two, and murderer of the Sith Order of old. No wonder that Sentinel was trying to get as far away from civilization (that he knew of) as possible: Bane's legacy would be able to corrupt ANY Force-Sensitive that could get their hands on it, even Jedi Masters. The secrets to Thought Bombs, Orbelisk Armor, and ancient Sith Rituals and Alchemy, any Dark Sider would have the ability to slaughter an entire civilization if they could peek into it for even a SECOND!:pinkiegasp:

Luckily for us, it's in the capable hands of Twilight Sparkle and friends, what could possibly go wrong?... oh yeah only EVERYTHING THAT THE ALICORN AMULET DID BUT 5X WORSE!!

darth bane have you lost you mind he is the most dangerous sith in the star wars universe practicly every other sith could never compare to even darth sidious would fear him & even though his dead his spirt from the holocrn still makes him deadly. c-3po quote: there doomed!:pinkiegasp:
