Ride 58: Clash! Overlord

“Dragonic Overlord The End skill! The End gains 2000 power as long as Dragonic Overlord in the soul. That makes its power 13000.” said Spike

“I never know there was a card like that. That’s amazing!” said Apple Bloom

“Did you know? Is that why you wanted use to came here and see the fight?” asked Luna

“No! I didn’t know either. He is one of the best vanguard players I have ever seen. Not only did he wake Apple Bloom up from them spell of psyqualia. As well he is not having any problem mastering even the most difficult of units. With all of that ability, why doesn’t he have psyqualia? It’s very interested?” asked Celestia

‘There was a time were these two were the best of friends. Now only vanguard can bring them back together. I might be the only here that is enjoying this. Though their viewpoints have changed. But the heart of this battle is just like old times. Or it’s just how I want to see it. Except thing can’t go back to normal. Ever since Spike left us. Flip Side has been out of control. He spent all his time fighting. Relying that power. Trying to forget the pain of Spike leaving. Droning by the anger he felt. To prove he was right in choosing that power. Me, Flip Side and Spike, we chose are paths that day. To get where we are right now. Those two were like best of friends. Those two got along so well. Sometimes I felt jealous. At first you would think the are opposite. But a lot alike. They always fight for what they believe in. Flip Side devoted on getting stronger for the team. He gained that power to help the team. And Spike left for Flip Side’s own good. He wasn’t able to stop Flip Side unless he got stronger. So he left to find the strength he needed. I couldn’t stop Flip Side either. That is why I stayed. That was the only thing I could do. How ever this fight ends. I have to see it throw to the end. As a fighter and their friend.’ thought Lightning Dust

“With The End I’m going to beat you and your psyqualia. Your abusive of that power has come to an end. I call Bahr. With a boost from Conroe, Burning Horn Dragon attacks Fatalita. With a boost from Flame of Hope Aermo, The Ends attacks. Drive trigger check. (both no triggers)” The End slashed both his swords against Phantom Blaster Dragon. “ (No trigger) “I’m not done yet. When Aermo boost an attack hits, I can discard a card and draw. The End isn’t finished. Activating his skill, Persona Blast!” said Spike as he payed a two point counterblast and discarded a copy of The End. The his vanguard stand back up.

“The End stood back up.” said Apple Bloom in a shocked tone.

“When The End hit he can stand by discarding a copy of himself. Face the facts you're not the strongest fighter in the world.”

‘Who do I root for?’ thought Lightning Dust

“Go back to being the pony you used to be. Flip Side” The End lifted his sword up and was about to hit Phantom Blaster Dragon. Then….

“I guard with Death Feather Eagle.” said Flip Side as a black armored eagle appeared.

“Drive trigger check! (No trigger, critical trigger) Get critical trigger. I give all the effects to Berserk Dragon.” Then End slashed Death Feather Eagle.

“He guarded The End’s attack.” said Apple Bloom

“Well there is still Berserk Dragon.” said Luna
“Berserk Dragon dragon attacks with a boost from Bahr.”

22000 to 11000

“I guard with Abyss Freezer and Blaster Javelin. Also DonnerSchlag intercepts.”

“He blocked that one as well.” said Cadence

“I end my turn.” said Spike

“I thought Spike had Flip Side with the crossride.” said Apple Bloom

“Flip Side can not be underestimated.” said Luna

“Right.” said Celestia

“To bad Spike, I knew it was going to happen like this. Because I have Psyqualia!” said Flip Side as his eyes glowed. “I even know you will lose this turn. Final Turn! Spike you're not the only one with a trump card.”

“Don’t tell me.” said Spike

“Witness the bodiment of pain and distraction. The power of shadows and darkness. Crossride, Phantom Blaster Overlord.” Blaster Dragon had more armor on him and his lance turned into two twin swords.

“Phantom Blaster Overlord!” murdered Spike

“Just like The End, Phantom Blaster Overlord gains 2000 power as long as Phantom Blaster Dragon is in the soul. I call Phantom Blaster Dragon and Blaster Dark. Would you look at that three Blaster unites. I attack Burning Horn Dragon with Blaster Dark.”

9000 to 9000

“No guard!”

Blaster Dark jumped up and slashed Burning Horn Dragon.

“With a boost from Charon, Phantom Blaster Dragon attacks Berserk Dragon.”

18000 to 9000

“No guard.”

Phantom Blaster Dragon stabies Berserk Dragon with his lance.

“Now it’s time for my Phantom Blaster Overlord. With a boost from Apocalypse, Phantom Blaster Overlord attack. Apocalypse soulblast! Adding 6000 power, and then….”

Like The End, Phantom Blaster Overlord can….” said Apple Bloom

Flip Side revealed another copy of Phantom Blaster Overlord.

“Sending a second copy to the drop zone. Persona Blast! When Phantom Blaster Overlord attack, if I discard a copy of himself he gains 10000 power and plus one critical.”

“That two crit. If this hits.” said Cadence

“Flip Side will win!” said Lightning Dust

“I won’t lose. I guard with two Blu-ray Dracokid and Burning Horn Dragon.”

33000 to 38000

“It’s no use. Drive trigger check. (no trigger, critical trigger) Get critical trigger.I add 5000 power to Phantom Blaster Overlord and the extra critical as well. This is the end of the line.” Phantom Blaster Overlord pulled back one of his sword and stabbed The End. “That makes seven damage. The only way you can survive is if you can draw two heal triggers.”

“I will! Damage trigger check. (no trigger) It’s not over yet second check, got a heal trigger! I add 5000 power to The End and I recover one point of damage.”

“You have one more to check.”

“I have been searching all this time for the strength to beat you. And I knew I would find it for this day for this day. I’m going to draw it and everything will change. Third check!”

“No trigger!” The End Roared as he started to crack then disappeared. “I win!”

“Spike lost!” said Apple Bloom in shocked

“Looks like you got what you wished for.” said Luna

“You know that what is was. This is bigger than us. The will of cards are strong.” said Celestia

“You lost like I said. Everything happens the way Psyqualia shows us. Are friendship ended that day. So much of The End. You are no value to me anymore. All I need is Psyqualia! I think I should thank you Celestia for this Phantom Blaster Overlord.” said Flip Side as he remembered the princess in his office Celestia showing him two orbs one was black and the other was white. He pointed to the black orb. The black orb disappeared and Phantom Blaster Overlord appeared.

“You gave that to Flip Side?” asked Apple Bloom

“Regardless if she gave me the card I would have won no matter what.” said Flip Side

“Why?” asked Spike

“We need his power.” said Celestia

“Even though that power changed Flip Side.”

“We don’t care whether the results of the power is good or bad. There things that only somepony with that power can do.”

“With this power I get everything I want. And nothing can stop me, no one.” said Flip Side as he left the room and Sunset Shimmer.

“Flip Side!” said Spike

“Spike, this is the path he chose.” said Lightning Dust right before he left the room.

Apple Bloom walked up to him.

“Stay away from me. Leave me alone.” said Spike right before he picked up his deck and the room.

Celestia walk up behind her.

“What’s going on?” asked Apple Bloom

“Flip Side’s Psyqualia has become extremely powerful. Powerful enough to change the world.” Celestia lit her horn and the light and dark orbs appeared. “Flip Side chose the card of darkness. Light that consumes the darkness. Darkness that blankets the light. Apple Bloom, which one do you chose?”

“I choose…..”
