Ride 37: The Return of the Ninja Master

At Card Capital.

“Finally the shop tournament is back. This is going to be our chance to show to show every pony what we got.” said Diamond Tiara

“Well, we better be practicing. Because the tournament is in a couple of days.” said Silver Spoon

“And this time a promise to….”
“Get pass the first round!”

“Get Ninja Master Neo’s autograph!”

“That’s why you're excited. That’s different it looks like it’s going to be a team battle. Why did you switch?”

“Well you see….” said Rarity as she told them the story.

At the park a three days ago. The crusaders were walking through then they meet up with Spike.

“Spike are you excited for the Vanguard Regional Qualifier?” asked Apple Bloom

“Not really it’s not like it’s the National Vanguard Tournament. But we have to compete in it to qualify. So we’re signed up right.” said Spike

“Yeah, Scootaloo said she would take care of it.”

As soon as Apple Bloom said that Scootaloo got a shocked looked on her face.

“Scootaloo you did sign us up? Right!” said Sweetie Belle and then Scootaloo hit her face with her hoof. “You forgot to sign us up.” Scootaloo nodded her head.

“Then let go sign up.” said Apple Bloom

The crusaders head over to the tournament hall.

“We like to sign up for the Vanguard Regional Qualifier.” said Apple Bloom

“I’m sorry, but there are no more spots available.” said the registration pony

“You mean there is no way we can be in the tournament?” asked Sweetie Belle

“Well there is one spot left. But it is reserved for the wild card winner. I’m sorry!”

Back in the present.

“And thats why we are having a team. So I decided to change it to team battles. So the four of them can be on the same team.” said Rarity

“Team battles! That means the formation of team Ninja.” said Diamond Tiara

“Oh, she declined.”

“What?!”

“My age has ended! That is what she said.”

“She might not have enough friends to make a team.” said Sweetie Belle

“I would have been on her team if she just asked.” said Diamond Tiara in a sad tone and crying

“Diamond Tiara!” said Silver Spoon

“Now stop crying. I’ve got a surprise for you. Sweetie Belle could you give Diamond Tiara the bundle under the table?” asked Rarity

Sweetie Belle looked under the table and saw a bundle. “Is this it?” asked Sweetie Belle levitating a bag from under the table.

“Yes!”

“What is it?” asked Diamond Tiara

It was night time at Sweet Apple Acres. Apple Bloom was in her room looking at her deck.

‘the shop tournament starts tomorrow.’ thought Apple Bloom as she remembered what Spike said the other day.

“With your skill, you're not going to beat anypony on that team. Not yet.” said past Spike

“I’m going to get stronger. I know I can do it Spike.” said past Apple Bloom

In the Present.

‘This time I’ll win for sure! For the sake of everyone in team Crusaders! And I’ll show Spike I was serious about what I said. Royal Paladin’s lend me your strength.’ thought Apple Bloom looking at her cards. Then the Soul Saver Dragon card’s eyes glowed red. Then she was transported to Cray and saw two Soul Saver Dragon as the both roared. Then she was back to where she was before. “What was that just now? I thought I heard a voice.”

Then there was a knock at her door. Apple Bloom opened it and saw Applejack there.

“Apple Bloom I kept call you down for dinner!”

“Sorry about that! I was work on my deck for the shop tournament tomorrow.”

“The shop tournament!”

“Are you going to come watch me like last time?”

“I’ve got something to do, so I don’t think I can make it. But do your best!”

“Thanks!”

The next day at Card Capital.

“Alright ladies and gentlecolt! It’s time to start the tournament. Now which one of you will win.” said Rarity then the crowed cheered. “We got the team split into blocks A and B. With all battles on this standing fight tables. With the winning team of each block will face each other in the final round. The winner of that match is our champion.”

“It looks like we are in block B.” said Sweetie Belle

“Just leave it to me, I’ll lead us to victory.” said Scootaloo

‘That’s weird where is Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon?’ thought Apple Bloom look through the crowed.

“We are going to be starting in just a few minutes. So think carefully about the order, that your going to fight in.” said Rarity

“Thats right! We have to consider the fighting order carefully.” said Apple Bloom

“I’m not playing!” said Spike

“What! Why not?”

“”Win this thing on your own. If you can’t stand the competition of a shop tournament. Then what hope do you have at a national level.”

“Without you!”

“I’ll watch!” after Spike said that he went over to a chair and sat down.

“Well, he is right.” said Sweetie Belle

“We’ll we can still win even without his help. Come on lets do it.” said Scootaloo

“Yeah, lets do our best.” said Apple Bloom

“That’s all we can do.” said Sweetie Belle

“Now let start the vanguard tournament.” said Rarity as some of the contestants were ready to start.

“Stand Up Vanguard!”

“Stand up, my avatar! I ride Blaster Blade!” said Apple Bloom

“So that’s Blaster Blade!” said a colt in the crowed

“Cool!” said another colt

Some time later.

“Lets go! Asura Kaiser attack! Finishing hold!” said Scootaloo

“I lost!” said the stallion send the sixth card to the damage zone.

“The winner is team Crusaders!” announced Rarity

“That another 7000 power to CEO Amaterasu! I attack!” said Sweetie Belle

“I pay the cost for Akane’s counterblast! Then I search my deck for a Royal Paladin, High Dog Best and Superior call it. I Superior call Pongal!” said Apple Bloom

“I attack with Mr. Invincible!” said Scootaloo

“The winner of block B, Team Crusaders!” announced Rarity

“Yes, we did it!” said Apple Bloom

“Don’t celebrate too soon! We still got a match to go.” said Scootaloo

“Your right! Who are we facing?” asked Apple Bloom looking at the monitor. “Team Overthrow?”

“Team Crusaders will have a hard time in this next match.” said a voice

“Could it be her?” said a young colt.

“Could it be…” said Apple Bloom

“Ninja Master Neo?” said Scootaloo

Then a cloth fell down revealing a pink earth pony in ninja armor.

“What that’s not Ninja Master Neo!” said the colt

“That’s very perceptive of you! I am Ninja Master Tiara! As well I have brought some of my friends!” said Ninja Master Tiara

“I’m a futile lord!” said Silver Spoon in disease

“I don’t know what I’m dressed as.” said Rainbow Dash

“That’s Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, and Rainbow Dash!” said Apple Bloom

“So this explains what was in that package.” said Sweetie Belle

“What package?”

“Yeah, Sweetie Belle tell us.” said Scootaloo

“I’m guessing it was Rarity’s idea.” said Sweetie Belle

“Now for are final match Team Crusaders vs. Team Overthrow.” announced Rarity

“It looks like Sweetie Belle is fighting the loser.” said Scootaloo

“I’m not a loser!” said Ninja Master Tiara

“It’s pretty obvious who it is.” said Snips

“Yeah!” said Snails

“I’ll defeat you!” said Ninja Master Tiara

“Now, let the final match of the shop championship finals. From team Crusaders Sweetie Belle and from team Overthrow Ninja Master Tiara.” said Rarity

“Ninja shuffle of a thousand cuts.”

“Now we are ready to play. Let imagen,let’s vanguard!”

“Stand up, Vanguard!”

“Stealth Beast, Hagakure.”

“Godhawk, Ichibyoshi.”

“I’m up first, I draw! Look it’s a grade three!”

“You're not supposed to say that.” said Rarity showing a yellow card.

“My bad! Team Crusaders time is at an end and the age of team Overthrow is here.” The crusaders just stared at her with a blank look. “What’s the matter? So terrified that words fail you. Unfortunately for you, I’m not going to hold back. Watch and tremble! My deck has the strongest grade threes. Plus I added cards you lost to before. You're no match for team overthrow and their leader Diamond Tiara. You’ll freeze in fear and flee in defeat.”

“When will she learn that too many grade threes is bad for a deck.” said Scootaloo

“As well she just said her name.” said Snips

“Nice job revealing your secret identity.” said Snails

“Secret ninja technique!” said Ninja Master Tiara

Some time later.

Ninja Master Tiara had five damage and at grade one. “I can’t believe my deck has betrayed me.”

“It’s my turn! I stand and draw! I activate Goddess of the Half Moon, Tsukuyomi’s skill. I look at the top five cards and if one of them is Goddess of the Full Moon, Tsukuyomi, I can do a superior ride.”

“Your skills are impressive our you also a ninja?” Then Sweetie Belle send the five cards to the bottom of her deck. “You didn’t get it! Even though you got five cards, you must have had terrible luck.”

“Be quiet or you’ll get us disqualified.” said Rainbow Dash

“I ride, Gentle light breaking the darkness, your smile brings hope to the entire world, Goddess of the Full Moon, Tsukuyomi.”

“Sneaky, how dare you hide that card in your hoof.”

“I call Red Eye. With a boost from Gemini, Tsukuyomi.”

“Wait are you sure you want to do that?”

“I attack! Twin drive first check ( no trigger), second check (no trigger)”

“Wait!” she said as the sixth card went into the damage zone.

“The winner of the first match is Sweetie Belle!” announced Rarity

“How could I lose!” said Ninja Master Tiara in a sad tone

“This is the final round? How did somepony this bad make it this far?” said Sweetie Belle ‘The other two must be getting all the wins.’

In the corner team Overthrow was talking as a team.

“This is not good! they only one more win to clinch the championship.” said Ninja Master Tiara

“Well, It's because you lose.” said Silver Spoon

“No need to worry. I thought this would happened. So went ahead and prepared a secret weapon, just in case.” said Rainbow Dash

“A secret weapon?!” said The two of them

“All right, let’s move on to the second match. From team Crusaders, Scootaloo!” announced Rarity

“Yeah!” said Scootaloo

“Good luck, Scootaloo!” said Apple Bloom

“Sorry, but it looks like you're not going to fight in the finals. Because it’s my turn to finish them off.” said Scootaloo

“It’ll be a piece of cake for you Scootaloo the Great!” said Snips

“No doubt.” said Snail

“I told you, you don't have to call me great.” said Scootaloo

“And from team Overthrow….” said Rarity

“Say Princess Maiden. Call her Princess Maiden.” whispered Rainbow Dash into Rarity’s ear.

“The Princess Maiden.”

Then the three of them revealed Applejack in a princess outfit.

“Applejack?! Why are you wearing that?” asked Apple Bloom

“Well you see, Rainbow Dash asked me to join the team she was on. So I said yes, because I thought it would be fun. But she never told me I had to wear this until the tournament almost started.” said Applejack

“Ok, lets start.” said Rarity

“Stand up, Vanguard!”

Some time later.

“Ok, now it’s your turn Scootaloo.” said Applejack

‘We are only one win away from the championship.’ thought Scootaloo “I ride Asura Kaiser! Then I call Death Army Guy. First I counterblast and release Jack. With a boost from Death Army Guy, Jack attacks Oracle Guardian, Apollon.”

18000 to 10000

“I guard with Lozenge Magus.”

“Now with a boost from Shining Lady, Death Army Lady attacks.”

“I don’t guard. Damage trigger check, (heal trigger) heal trigger. give the power to my vanguard and recover one damage.” Keeping her tied at three with Scootaloo. “I stand and draw! I attack with Apollon supported by Gemini.”

“No guard!”

“Twin drive, first check (Critical trigger) critical trigger. Second check (critical trigger) it looks like I got a second one.”

“What!” said Scootaloo in a shocked tone as she send three cards to the damage zone (first two no triggers, the last on stand trigger.)

“The winner of the second match the Princess Maiden!” announced Rarity

Scootaloo fainted on how she loosed and then regained conshenesh.

‘The match is tied with the next match deciding the winner.’ thought Apple Bloom

Then Rainbow Dash stepped up.

“I’m going to be fighting you, Rainbow Dash?” said Apple Bloom

They both stepped up to the table.

“So this is the first time I’m going to cardfight you Apple Bloom.” said Rainbow Dash

“Now that you mention it, I’ve never seen you fight, Rainbow Dash.”

“Who do you think used to be Spike’s practice partner?” As soon as she said that Apple Bloom was shocked. “This will be fun! Are you ready?”
