Because it totally fits in with their canon characterization. Neither princess is above getting into a bit of mischief, and, well, they're sisters after all.
Hahaha, certainly a fun read, great flow and telling. The only thing that kinda stood out as odd for me was the utter and complete lack of ANY speaking from either princess besides their singing. It actually kinda reminded me of one of those Tom and Jerry sketches. Not sure if that's what you were going for or not, just thought I'd mention it
250736 You be correct! Without spoiling anything, you shouldn't expect any sort of spoken dialogue in this story. I'll do my best to describe what their emotions are through their actions and facial gestures, but outside of that, the only dialogue you'll see is singing.

Very funny song choices, and best of luck to you in keeping with that writing style. However, I can only imagine walking on sunshine as sung by Fry, from Futurama. Which in the end, made it that much more amusing for me.

I really think that leaving out any spoken dialogue is an amusing and adorable thing to do; the sheer amount of giggles I had imagining Celestia pointing at Luna's record player, then Luna smiling sweetly and showing her the book... Priceless! I can't wait to see the next installment- and also which songs will be used for Volley Number 2! :3
I could see them dragging Ponyville into this for a real battle of the bands type thing.
