Um, okay. It's not as if the story is bad. If anything, it's remarkably well written. Content wise however, is definitely a "WAT?!" I mean, not to offend or anything, but people seriously will ship a character with anyone. And it seems in this case, ANYTHING. I mean seriously, Spike+Philomena? I mean, what is this, I don't even. It's not you, like I said, story very well put together, very well written with few noticeable errors that detract from the story. You have a talent here, not quite sure why you are wasting it on smut like this and that MacinGranny ship of yours. Speaking of which, what is with the recent influx in clopfics on FiMFiction lately?
I don't know about anyone else, but I found this very enjoyable. Well written, and pretty cute. Even the ending was adorable in it's own way.

Okay so I got to go to school in a minute, but I'll respond to most of the comments in general now. First off, i've read many books about phoenixes and love the creature in its entirety, but in many cases, the phoenix can transform into a human. Well, in Equestria, it would be a pony she turns in to, so I fleshed out Philomena's character some. That Granny/Mac fic before was mainly just a... turd! Reading it again I just laughed. I do have another account btw where I write my actual non-clop fictions because I don't want the two to be associated. So I do spend my time on other fictions, not jst this "smut." Although I do find this smut very fun to write because, as gross as it may seem, it can amazingly improve one's descriptive writing. One thing I have noticed is that many clop-writes have a hard time obtaining that sensual mood to the story and the fic is no good. If one can achieve that feeling that turns the reader on then they are indeed a good author. It's not just about putting the word "cock" and "pussy" everywhere.
Frankly I'm not sure how I did, but I do hope to write another, after I have finished two other fics I am working on. Have a nice day everypony!
Oh yeah, and I laughed my ass off when I thought up that ending. Just imagining that situation... You could cut the awkwardness with a hard-boiled egg!

My stories are so out there that they usually don't get many views, even though they are usually well written, if I do say so myself.
Was laughing so hard after I read the end. You did a very impressive job on this and I for one good sir am a fan of your writing. I'm hoping to see more, I like this bird and Spike being together, not as great as Spike/Twilight or Spike/Rainbow Dash but impressive non the less, keep it up.
