Charliemane

Sequels1

E

This story is a sequel to Rocinante, Pony of La Manecha

Following Princess Luna's return to Canterlot, Princess Celestia had hoped to return to a joint rule with her sister. But Luna, torn by guilt over her past actions and lost in a world that has changed so much since her banishment to the moon, has locked herself away in seclusion and depression. As her concerns for her sister grow, Princess Celestia calls upon one little pony, whose mindset just happens to be a few centuries behind, to reach out his hoof in friendship. Perhaps the magic of friendship could again save her sister from herself?

He rides again! Great story, and so fitting for the final tale to come full circle. Beginning with rescuing Luna, and ending with the same.

I fully expect you to continue this now. Seeing how you've presented such a colorful pair of characters to whom may accompany the princess across the land.

Very very well done, I enjoyed this immensely.

So, is Luna a Dulcinea analogue?

2773609 In all honesty I keep wavering back and forth on that. If I do make her the Dulcinea analogue, she will far more resemble the Dulcinea from Dale Wasserman's "Man of La Mancha" as opposed to the original Dulcinea from the book.

I can see the trepidation, there. She doesn't need to be a direct analogue, anyways. But I do hope you continue with this, it's very entertaining.:pinkiehappy:

This is such a sweet and well written story, truly a hidden gem in this site. It deserves a lot more views than it has.

Another lovely piece. I also appreciate your resistance of making Luna a direct Dulcinea analogue. This is a more interesting take on her as it feels like a blend of the previous interpretations.

A truly great read, I loved every minute of it! It's wonderful to see Sassy in a fic now and again. She's one of my favorite ponies and needs more love!
