After their adventure in the Crystal Empire, Sassaflash is eager to set out across Equestria once again in search of adventure. But as she trots off to meet her cousin, the Knight of the Restored Moon, she encounters another relative who is intent on putting a stop to Rocinante's madness.

When a Princess disappears it becomes the job of the Royal Equestrian Police Nationale to find her, no matter where she may be.

Both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna know that the Crystal Empire was not the only thing banished into the frozen void. Sensing the perfect opportunity to test Twilight Sparkle's resolve and capability, Princess Celestia sends Twilight and her friends to secure the Empire from the dangers that still lurk outside its boundaries.

But while Princess Luna agrees that this is a perfect test for the young unicorn, she still has her doubts about placing the fate of an entire empire in the hooves of a single pony. Although Princess Celestia insists that Twilight must perform this task alone, perhaps Luna could call upon an old friend and his squire to serve as a form of insurance, preferably with neither Celestia nor Twilight knowing about it.

When Ditzy is accused of stealing the Crystal Empire's coronation crown while it was on display in Canterlot, the newly crowned Twilight Sparkle quickly finds herself wrapped up in proving Ditzy's innocence, all the while avoiding the ever closing inspector of the Royal Equestrian Police Nationale

On their way home from a trip to the north, Twilight and Rarity share an interesting experience about communication, body language, and how the two work together, whether you realize it or not.

As a tradition in the castle, Princess Celestia invites all of her ministers and advisers to enjoy a small game with her as a form of welcoming to the new members of her staff. Despite the heat of the summer day, Sharp Point, the newest of Princess Celestia's advisers, arrived at the location, ready to play and completely unaware to the lesson that he was to learn.
