Rarity and Spike have been together for a while. He never had a problem with sharing her with Pinkie Pie, but can Spike handle the responsibilities of becoming a father when he finds out that Rarity has impregnated Pinkie? And how does a mare impregnate another mare anyway?

There has been some confusion regarding this story, where many people think I am ripping on Spike. I'm not really, but I'm starting to understand why people think that. Rarity is not cheating here, it's something called polyamory.

Rarity has been feeling restless lately.
She had her boutiques, she had the new Princess' ear, she had prestige and friendship.
Then why did she feel something else, something deep in her heart, missing?

After much soul-searching, Rarity decided she must seek the ancient kingdom of the unicorns, intent on finding more refined details about her destiny.
She absolutely insists on going alone.

But Pinkie Pie will have none of that!

Pinkie decides to reveal her past to Twilight - her tough, unfriendly past.

Twilight decides to tell Pinkie/her own friends about it, to attempt to help Pinkie.

NUTSHELL:
Pinkie discusses her problematic past. Twilight tries to help by comforting her etc. Rota is introduced between Fluttershy, Rarity and Twilight.

Rarity works hard for her art, as generous as can be. But with no recognition nor appreciation her heart is very far from free.

She met her challenge with her scissors,

Soon enough shed be known forever

her name the one of fears.

Strange disappearances in Ponyville have caused everypony to hide and completely stay off the streets

First Pinkie vanishes, then slowly but surely more and more begin to vanish.
Finally when Rainbow Dash goes missing Twilight goes on a search and rescue mission, starting with the last place Rainbow was spotted...Sugarcube Corner.

But is all as it seems in the supposedly happy and brighter than sunshine bakery or is there more than meets the eye?

As Rarity has a crush on Pinkie it's hard for her to deal with it as it makes her heart hurt that Pinkie isn't dating her. She also doesn't have enough courage to ask Pinkie Pie out. Will that finally become a reality?
