Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle have been accidentally locked in a vault in the Royal Canterlot Bank. With the vault soundproof, windowless, and immune to magic and even Pinkie’s methods of… Pinkie-ness, they cannot escape for several hours. They use this time for shenanigans and introspection.

Three months can seem like an eternity, but in the timeless nature of hibernation, it passes in a blink. Spring is here, and Tank has awoken, ready to reunite with Rainbow Dash.

However, there's a small complication.

A brief one-shot written in the same vein as Two and Two and Two. Twilight discovers that Pinkie's strangeness seemingly knows no bounds, and sometimes there's nothing wrong with that at all.

“Pinkie,” Maud asked, “Have you ever thought about something, and then it was real?”

And Pinkie just laughed, endeared by the naivety of the minds of fillies.

Becoming an alicorn has been hectic, and it's nice for Twilight to be able to kick back for a moment and do something she loves, with Pinkie Pie no less.

Science, of course. Why, what were you thinking? Though shouting your 'Eureka' moment in the streets is bound to get ponies thinking...

Worried about her friends' mortality, Twilight hatches a daring plan. She probably should have told them about it first.

Though the distance between Pinkie Pie and her five closest friends has grown in the half-century since they claimed their Elements, she does what she can to prevent the others from drifting away. It’s small things, mostly: tea with Rarity, a drink with Rainbow Dash, a few words with each of the others. The friendship still makes each day together magic, and she works as hard as ever to bring cheer to all of her friends. When the smiles come less frequently, that just makes each one that much more precious.

There are few things that Twilight Sparkle is sure about but she knows for certain that Princess Celestia does not, and never will, play pool.

I reckon Pinkie Pie has to be in that barrel. I saw her go in myself. But I just can't shake the feeling that if I go and open that lid, she won't be in there.
