After and incident with Discord, Scootaloo find herself on the other side of the galaxy fighting a war she did not wish to be in.

After the decimation of the planet she'd been staying on, Scootaloo finds herself a friend in a newly instated Spartan-IV, Faolan Grant. When things don't go as planned, however, Scootaloo quickly finds a place in the ranks of Fireteam Raven as they fight Covenant Remnant forces and stand strong against even the wishes of ONI itself.

A.N.~ This takes place after Halo 3 but before Halo 4. The idea is that this is happening during the end of the first year after John-117 is reported M.I.A. and not all Covies have quite given up yet. There will be references to Infintiy and the other Spartan-IV's every now and again.

The theme I picked was 'Why Did You Do That?'

The main character of this story, Rose Water, is one of the main characters from my currently-in-editing FO:E sidefic, Long Shadows. These events are from before the events in LS.

Revenge is a common subject. It is a bittersweet concept that is often perceived as a pit that can entrap even the most righteous of individuals. It can change a person in dramatic ways that not a single person could predict with certainty.

To Ambrosia "Jack" McAnderson, it is a way of life. Ever since a night on her family's apple orchard, she has known nothing else. Revenge is not some foreign idea that only plagued the badmen of the wastelands, it was an obsession, a righteous calling. Jack was revenge and she would do the Lord's will and smite the unholy people who prey upon the good people of the west.

Twilight never wanted this. All she wanted was to live a happy life with her friends. Though she can’t even have that anymore now.
It was a simple spell, just a small alteration she made to make it better, to let her peek into the future. How could it have all gone so wrong. Why did fate have to be so cruel

At first I thought I was dreaming, since the last thing I remember was taking a nap. Well it turns out I died when some bee bear monster crashed into my house and it collapsed on top of me.

Since I've got these wings and halo, I'm pretty sure I know where it is that I'm supposed to be. Unfortunately my bad luck seems to have struck once again, as I appear to be lost somewhere in the afterlife! Still at least this time I have a really good reason to keep going. After all, Heaven awaits. Now if I can only find it...

Princess Celestia has always kept secrets from her subjects. She is now handing over one of her biggest secrets to Princess Twilight Sparkle for the sake of Equestria: A diary of all the prophetic dreams she has had. While the diary itself makes for a good read, Celestia is more concerned with her most recent dream than any of the others. Will Twilight Sparkle, one of the greatest minds in Ponyville, be able to figure out the cryptic prediction before it is too late?
