//------------------------------// // Chapter 2 // Story: (You) are lonely. // by Saint-Mercy //------------------------------// You lay awkwardly on the bed Zecora has generously provided for you, as you shift around you turn your body and look at Zecora who is creepily staring at you. You feel shivers tingle at the base of your spine. You try your best to shake it off but the feeling but Zecoras intent stare causes the shiver to spread through the rest of your spine. Zecora was always watching. After tonight your gonna leave, you don't want to be rude but, you just can't sleep peacefully at night knowing that you're gonna be watched the entire time. You smirk at a small memory of a movie you watched before. 'You put the lotion on the skin.' You shiver again and try your best to fall asleep. . . . . "If you ever need any hospitality, don't forget about me." Zecora said to you as you were getting ready to leave. You already packed up the nothing that you had and were at the entrance for her door. "Thank you for everything, seriously, but I have got to do something about...well." You cut yourself off, you began to realize your not entirely too sure what your going to do with your life. "Heh, well anyways, maybe I'll see you again sometime." You're kind of saddened when you realize you have nothing to do with your life, the only purpose you serve as of now is to survive. The zebra nods and returns into her hut while you take on your difficult stride through the forest once again. . . . . . . You wander about the forest for quite some time, finally you see a break in the tree line. You immediately decide that you would rather be in a clearing than in the creepy forest. You break past the final few trees and stand in the clearing. A mountain now stands before you. You have two choices now. The mountain, or back into the forest. You already known which one you're going to choose. You just wanted to hold off the actions, why? Because you're a huge procrastinator. As you head for the mountain you notice a convenient trail leading upwards, a bit steep, but better than taking your chances with the unstable rocks. Taking the steep trail you can see exactly how unstable the rocks are, most are either cracked or misplaced so that any pressure would cause them to create an avalanche..err rockslide. You see a quick shadow dart across the mountain, you flinch slightly as the speed, but realizing it was just a shadow you feel la bit like a coward. You look upwards for whatever caused the shadow. A buzzard. Ew, a creepy full grown buzzard. You shivered a bit at the site, but than remembered that buzzards were a bad bad sign. As long as there weren't a lo- Your facial featured drop as you head up the mountain more only to see an entire flock circling the top of the mountain. You take a break and rethink the situation you are in. So, buzzards, and lots of them, either a sign of bad luck or there's something dead up there. You really hoped for that second one, even if it was wrong to wish such a thing. With aching legs you continue your ascension of the mountain. Half an hour passes and you finally reach the top. There was absolutely nothing at the top of the mountain, which means by superstition you are royally fucked. You take a look around gazing at the beautiful view that you have of this world now that your on top of a mountain. The forest doesn't looks so creepy and evil from the top, but like these ponies it only seems harmless from a certain perspective. You look the other direction to see the small town you were in earlier. You turn away in disgust, you now face the opposite side to the town. You see a palace?!. Whoa wait what! A Palace! A palace hanging onto the mountain your standing on! These ponies have made a damned palace?! You slumps your head down, there's the sign of the buzzards again. They circle above your head wildly and yet silently, rather creepy. You once again feel shivers trail up your spine. You decide that you should get off the mountain, the buzzards were starting to give you goosebumps. You head for the palace, why? One, the way down doesn't look as long as it does for the forest. Two, you didn't climb a damn mountain only to go back to the forest. Three, hopefully, if there's a small chance of humanity in these ponies, these royal ponies will be more considerate. You begin your careful tread down the mountain, here you notice how the palace hangs onto the cliff. It seems as if it was built into the mountain but also sort of cuts off from it also, it didn't make any since to you. Then again, you are in the land of talking ponies. You didn't think this out to well. Your currently standing on the side of a mountain, but you also stand right next to a pointed top of a part of the palace. Should you go for it? If you mess up you will probably fall to your death. Your meaningless death. You take a sigh and risk it, you take the small jump from the mountain and land onto the palace top, well you would have landed onto it, if it didn't break as soon as you stepped foot onto it. You fall through the top and land yourself in the second tallest tower of the palace. Great, just fraggin great. You land directly on your ass and feel almost as if you just broke your tail bone. As you stand up and awkwardly rub your butt, you hear the snoring, the deep and loud snoring of- You slowly turn your head for whatever the cause of the sound was. As you lock your eyes onto the deep blue alicorn, you see it's chest heaving up and down along with the snoring. "It's still asleep?" You say softly to yourself. The snoring confirms your question, you look up at the hole you caused in the room. It must be a heavy sleeper. You mean it had to be, if you just fell through its roof and the alicorn didn't even flinch. You tense up, the reality of the situation taking hold of you. You are stuck in the palace, with a bunch of ponies, that are probably scared of you....welp..this is your end. You stand in the sunlight the hole provided to you. "Hey, look you made a sun roof!" You joke to yourself, but immediately feel bad for the awful pun. You sigh and look for the door, your only way out considering the hole is to high for you to try and climb out of. You make your way for the door and place you hand on the knob. You slightly turn the knob, only to find it locked somehow. "Seriously, a door that locks from the outside?!" You say softly. "What kind of crap is this!" You state angrily. You looks closer at the doorknob and see a faint dark blue glowing aura enveloping the entire knob. You look over back at the pony that was laying in the bed. The aura's color and the pony's coat color matched perfectly. Putting one and two together, you realize this alicorn must have pit some sort of spell or enchantment on the doorknob, basically your screwed until it wakes up and unlocks it. You sigh and sit in a corner, waiting for your end to come to you. Once that dark blue pony wakes up, bye bye life.
