We all know that the major plot of the first ever episode of MLP: FiM involved Twilight not wanting to make friends, because she was too concerned about Midnight Moon. But what if that wasn't the case? What if Twilight got her assignment to make friends earlier?

Takes place during "Fall Weather Friends." In this AU Friendship is Magic part 1&2 never happened, and all the episodes after were pushed back in time a bit. During FWF, the Ticket Master also happens, simultaneously. Wonderbolts Academy has also already happened.

It is the night after Nightmare Moon's banishment by Princess Celestia. While still dealing with her grief at the loss of her sister and closest friend, she must also deal with running her kingdom and keeping the public from fearing her corrupted sister. One-shot for now, may update someday.

Nightmare Moon is the new ruler of Equstria. Every pony fears her but one. Cinder Hoof has a crush on the great ruler. Nightmare Moon might not care that much, except that this pony is a complete clod. What is she to do when this pony will not leave her alone. Is this what I get for trying to rule Equstria.

This story is a sequel to In The Twilight of Harmony’s End

Almost a year has passed since the re-emergence of Nightmare Moon, the sealing of the Equestrian Diarchy, the punishment of the Main Six and the cementing of Queen Void's position as ruler of Equestria. Now though, she must manage running a kingdom with her friendship with the other Crusaders and ensuring that Equestria is safe from any threat without the Princesses' presence. Even as she juggles these conflicting aspects of her life, and she grows closer to completely merging with the Nightmare, others conspire to bring her regime crashing down.

Timeline note; the original story is set after the finale of Season 3 since Twilight is an Alicorn but before Season 4's finale since Tirek had yet to escape Tartarus. This story is set after the equivalent of "Twilight's Kingdom" (albeit the Library survived in this version of events instead of burning down). All events past that however, like Starlight and the redemption of the Changelings, are ignored.

The mane 6 try to stop her only to find the Elements of harmony to be ineffective despite their best attempts, they fail. It's either buckle up, or freeze...
