Queen Void sits calmly atop her throne during a brief respite between grovelling nobles. Although just under a year has passed since she first banished Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, and six months have passed since she formally took the throne, she has ensured that little has fundamentally changed about Equestria. Aside from giving bad ponies what they deserve, she has mostly kept the former diarchy's policies in place with addendums to foalabuse laws and quality of life changes.

Just as she prepares for her next set of ponies, Rainbow Dash bursts in with a serious expression. "My Queen, I've received word from the Crystal Empire that Princess Cadence and Shining Armour are plotting against you and plan to rise up. What should we do?" 

Void lets out a chuckle. "Nothing." she says simply. 

Rainbow's eyes nearly bulge out of her head. "Nothing?! But my Queen-" 

Void raises a patient hoof that she waves around absentmindedly. "I've always known that Cadance and Shining would try and rebel against me when they think I've become complacent. If we take any actions against the Crystal Empire, we'll turn our own citizens against us. Remember Rainbow Dash; we're liberators and peacekeepers, not tyrants like Sombra or Chrysalis. We aren't here to dominate and conquer Equestria; we're here to guide and care for it and everypony within its borders." 

Rainbow Dash gulps at the stern glare she receives. Despite the fact she is a filly, her Queen has a paralysing glare. "I understand, Queen Void. All the same, shouldn't we be worried about the Crystal Heart or thier combined magic?" 

Void lets out a shrill but good-natured laugh. "Sister, the Crystal Heart is simply a more potent version of the Elements of Harmony. It is designed to defeat evil but none of us are so it can only make us stronger. Look at what it did to Luna during that faithful Summer's Sun Celebration." Rainbow smiles warmly at the memory to try and hide the wince at the word "sister."

Do any of you have any idea how useless a flightless Pegasus is?! Well, I'll tell you! There is nothing more pathetic than a Pegasus who can't fly!

Before she knows what's happening though, she finds herself being magically brought beside Void who nuzzles her. "It's okay sister, what you said was horrible but I forgive you, You didn't know that I was there and it was just very poor wording." 

Rainbow gapes at her. "But you said-" 

A firm look cuts her off. "Actions speak louder than words. I may forgive you for what you said but I may never truly forgive you for leaving me alone all those times. All things considered though, I have you to thank for everything that has come to pass." 

Rainbow Dash looks at her smiling Queen with confusion. "Huh?" 

Queen Void chuckles. "Your comment pushed me over the edge and convinced me to merge with Nightmare which has brought peace to all." 

Her sister fixes her Queen with a worried look. "S-scoots is still in there, right? It's something that's been bothering me ever since you assumed your new duties." 

Void gives her a wide smile. "She's been talking to you this entire time, Dash."

Rainbow breathes a long and deep sigh of relief. "Thank you. If Scootaloo was gone, I don't know what I would have done."  She silences herself as she realises how that could sound. "I-I mean..."

Queen Void just chuckles before watching the throne room doors ease open as a Royal Guard enters and bows low. "Your Highness, Raven Inkwell is here to discuss your new tax reforms." 

Void nods proudly. "Send her right in. I'm afraid, Rainbow Dash, that I must cut this talk short. If you still have any concerns later, don't hesitate to find me." 

Rainbow Dash shoots her Queen her signature cheeky grin. "Right away, my Queen." Void stifles a laugh as she watches as Rainbow Dash bolts past a started Raven Inkwell and makes her lose her stack of paperwork. She does have to keep up her royal appearance after all.
