Throughout her life, Vapor Trail has been in the shadow of Sky Stinger, in the best way she could. She didn't want all the attention to herself and wanted to give it to somepony she found special. As the years have gone by, the two have grown close to each other, helping one another accomplish their life long dream: becoming a Wonderbolt. And for once in her life, Vapor Trail didn't want to be in the shadow of Sky Stinger, but in the light beside him.

With both of their dreams accomplished, they can now live the dream... that is, until Vapor Trail had another dream in mind. Because of her closeness with Sky Stinger, the mare developed strong feelings for him and wants to confess her emotions to him.

However, Vapor Trail was unaware of how challenging such a task could be. Vapor Trail has many resources to her disposal, such as teammates and various plots to get the right words out. But will that be enough? Can Vapor Trail get the message across? Or will her chances of being Sky Stinger's special somepony vanish like a vapor of steam?

All Vapor Trail wanted to do was ask Sky Stinger on a date. But as it turns out, Sky Stinger has a reason why the two of them can't go out.

It's not often that Equestria experiences harsh weather. It can be damp and dreary, hot and humid, but freak storms are usually not on the table. Unfortunately for two of our freshest Wonderbolts, that is exactly what they had to deal with, and it didn't go well.

After their superb performance at the Wonderbolts Academy qualification, Sky Stinger and his best friend, Vapor Trail, take a break up away from the influence of Cloudsdale and the Wonderbolts; away into the fearsome, large, white clouds, where no pony bothered to go, and especially not beyond.

There, it was no longer a normal way of perceiving the new light hosted by the Sun. The two pegasi have arrived to the next level of atmosphere where only the two of them would gladly appreciate.

They celebrate, they rejoice, at the relief that they lived for so long to see this day.

It's photo-day for the Wonderbolts and because everyone knows how important this is for Captain Spitfire, they are well-prepared and approach it in a calm and rational manner to avoid causing problems...

Of course not.

Chaos and madness follow these ponies as they struggle to maintain their sanity to prevent a bigger disaster during the three hours leading up to the photo.

Sky Stinger had always suffered the fate of being ignored, until he met Vapor Trail. Partners since foalhood, the two helped each other on their way to the top, to their dreams... to the Wonderbolts.

Now however, having found out the truth behind his "achievements", Sky Stinger struggles to get back on his feet and prove that he is special, that he is important, that he can take on any challenge. But as he finds himself falling short time after time, he will have to re-evaluate himself, his goals...

...and a particular bond with his loyal, timid wingpony.

Digging into the reserves, he selects Vapor Trail as his replacement. However, Vapor Trail has doubts as to whether she could really replace the veteran Wonderbolt, and whether her friendship with Sky Stinger could survive her true feelings about being a Wonderbolt, even if only for a night...

Secret agents, big crowds, and papparazzi await in this short story of love and finding out who you really are.

When training to become a future Equestrian Wonderbolt, Lightning Dust made poor life choices. She abused her parents encouragement and provisions and instead took life into her own hooves. She cared little about following a good example, she only cared about herself and her own feelings. One night she sneaked out of her family home and had fun with a stallion. He was not willing to stay and fled her life, leaving a life changing new addition for her in the process. She pays no attention to the foal, leaving her newborn under her parents control. Then it all comes crashing down.

Her dreams dead by her own doing and her parents now deceased after a family tragedy. She is left with only her first born daughter. With help from her brother Sky and his friends, can Lightning put herself back together and create a true bond with her daughter, Viral Velocity?
