When the Queen of Changelings arrives at their doorstep, desperately asking for their help, the Magic of Friendship moves Night Light and Twilight Velvet to offer it. But that night would not be the end of the story of the mimic queen's legacy.

Set several years before A Mother's Comfort.

Twilight Velvet's son Shining Armor is about to leave for Royal Guard training. On this quiet night, she reflects on her choices as a mother, regrets she has had with her son, and her own inner demons. But her son will be the key to silencing those demons.

A reporter from The Canterlotter magazine tries to find the true Twilight Sparkle when she comes home to Canterlot after fighting for a return of harmony. This is the resulting article and accompanying artwork. It paints a picture of a Twilight Sparkle few have seen.

For the sake of the FimFiction terms of publication, this is a work of original prose fiction and qualifies as a story. It slots into the Enforcerverse but is completely standalone. The events take place immediately after the closing scene in The Return of Harmony - Part 2.

Twilight Velvet is very close to her kids, especially her son, Shining Armor. This Mother's Day, she plans on sharing something with him that she hopes will bring them closer together. She always knew that he had more in common with her than his father, and today, she was going to prove that.

Hopefully her little Shiny won't be too upset at the flank-kicking he's about to get.

After being abducted by Daybreaker, Twilight's memories of the wedding rehearsal were erased. Now her guilt ridden friends wish to forget about how they abandoned her as well. But they worry that Twilight will eventually remember what they did and not forgive them. Conflict emerges between them as they struggle whether to tell her the truth or not. Meanwhile, Twilight Velvet means to protect her children by any means necessary, and Celestia is having doubts about whether or not she should be ruler anymore.

Flurry Heart is five months old, and it's Shining Armor's first Mother's Day since becoming a father. Now a parent himself, he finally has perspective on what his mother felt toward him. She's supported him, loved him, worked hard for him, and given him the best life she could. And for everything she is to him, and all she's done, he's going to say thank you in the best way he knows how.
