On the day of the Royal Canterlot Wedding, Trixie finds that Cadence wasn't the only one with a 'Dark Secret'. Now she struggles to survive in an Equestria whipped into a Changeling witch hunt, all while struggling with the revelation that her whole life up until this point has been a lie.

It's been six months since Tirek was defeated, but Trixie still has nightmares. Nightmares of being pinned down, of the magic being ripped from her bones, of being thrown around like a worthless doll. It's been six months since Trixie has had a full night's sleep, and all she wants is peace.

But Trixie is fine. Trixie doesn't need Twilight. She doesn't need her family. She doesn't need anyone. Trixie loves being alone.

So why can't she stop crying?

Twilight Sparkle is lost and broken, living a new life in a new town, she has forgotten who she truly is. Something happened to Twilight in Equestria that caused her sudden departure, and has half of Equestria scouring the planet for her.
"What did I do?" Is... not a question Twilight had thought of. She'd been happy, and content living her new life in Frostglade. However, she'd always felt like there were pieces to herself missing. Like, she'd lost something important.

When Sunset Shimmer and Trixie Lulamoon finally track her down after months of searching (and barely tolerating the other's presence), the reunion is not a happy one. Their presence has upset Twilight's new life by revealing the first step in unraveling the web of secrets bottled up in Twilight's psyche.

The three mares journey to a place of ancient magic, where they must piece together Twilight's shattered memories, solve the mystery, and then finally go home to where they truly belong. Of course, their journey will not be easy; dark shadows follow Twilight's every move, trying to stop her party from seeing the truth. If that weren't bad enough, it's not just Twilight Sparkle who is being tested by the challenges of the Nexus.

The Grand and Prodigious Hexie is a self-taught magician! Just not a very well-received one. Will her latest attempt to earn a few coins be any more successful than her dozens of tries in previous towns?

Traveling to Applewood through the San Palomino desert, Trixie is sweaty and tired. The town she usually stopped at on her way through was missing, and she feared it had been abandoned. When she finally sees a town, it's not the one she remembered, being almost a fortress of sorts.
The town is seemingly abandoned, save for strange mirrors in every home. When she finds out what they're for, she also discovers the town isn't as abandoned as she first thought.

Trixie has read literally dozens of true crime stories. She has no idea why it takes the police so long to solve the crimes when they're so obvious -- especially in hindsight. When a murder happens right in front of her, its her chance to prove her expertise to the doubters and claim her rightful title as the Intelligent and Insightful Trixie, Equestria's Greatest Magical Detective!

Assuming it actually is a murder, anyway.

Entry to the Thousand Word Contest III in the comedy category!

It was supposed to be Trixie's vacation, a soul searching trip to Ponyville. Instead she found herself in a town full of crazy, enthralled ponies, the result of Twilight becoming corrupted by a mysterious amulet.

Managing to escape conversion, she set out to form a resistance movement. It's off to a great start. She already has Fluttershy.
