This story is a sequel to Remnants of Equestria: SSTT

Not many can claim to have a relationship quite like the members of team SABR (Saber). Spike Sparkle, Ember Abagail, Zecora Brooks, and Sunburst Rivia have been placed together, for better or for worst. Nevertheless, the team aims to be the best there is.

And that can only be proven at the Vytal Festival.

Spike receives an invitation in the mail for the first annual dragon festival, an event that he has been corresponding with Ember about for some time. As he prepares to travel with her to the dragon lands, Ember asks Twilight to join in on the event as well. Furthermore, as Ember and Spike begin their trip they happen upon a new dragon who says that he, like Spike, was born and raised outside the dragon lands.

A one dollar drabble commission written in one afternoon for Ardashir. 'Celestia seeks to enliven the Grand Galloping Gala by inviting Spike's dragon friends as guests.' But the trouble doesn't come where you'd expect. And some solutions don't work like you think they would.

Twilight is reminded yet again how little she knows about dragons and it's up to her and her friends to figure out a way to help Spike. At least she has Ember as a friend to help her understand whats going on and guide her to a possible solution.

Thorax never asked to be leader. He certainly never believed he could fit into such a rank. Now, he must face his fear of confrontation and disappointment for his Hive's reformed legacy to continue on, even when threats begin to arise around every corner. Thus, Thorax must learn how powerful he can actually be, in hopes of keeping his Hive, his pack, safe.

Every year, Princess Celestia hosts a special Inter-Species Conference to recognize the creatures who aren't strictly equine. And with the political climate of many nations seeing a massive paradigm shift, this year will be most important. Not only will new alliances with Yakyakistan and the Neko Shogunate be recognized, but the reemergence of Griffonstone has given rise to a new ambassador from the Griffon Kingdom in the form of the town's savior, Gilda. But no one is more nervous than the newly-appointed Dragon Lord, Ember. After all, never in the entire history of Equestria has a dragon ever attended the Inter-Species Conference. She has to make the best impression possible, even though diplomacy is not a dragon thing.

However, that turns out to be rather difficult when a dark dragon wielding mysterious magic crashes the party and outright defies Ember's rule. But how could this be? The Bloodstone Scepter should grant a dragon absolute authority over all dragonkind. The only dragons who are able to resist its power are the elusive Dragon Magi clan, and they aren't violent at all. Well, one is, but she's still learning the ropes. Luckily, she's attending the conference as well, and she's got Ember's back.

Not allowing this insult to stand, Ember vows to get to the bottom of this mystery along with a group of noble vigilantes from the Mild West. Meanwhile, Celestia, Gilda, and Little Strongheart band together to protect the posse from a pair of dragon poachers who haven't quite learned their lesson. This will either be the dawn of a new era for dragons, or the shortest reign of a Dragon Lord ever recorded. Hopefully, the hidden secrets of the Dragon Magi will prevent the latter.

Part III of the Ballad of Needles.

It's the biggest wedding of the century. The union of three species, and the ending a of a great war. All Spike has to do is be ready... he's not. Luckily, or should be said unluckily, his best man is there to help him through this big ultimate step. Ember, the dragon lord has been tasked with this impossible mission when every other choices has mysteriously vanished.

Garble couldn't believe it. That... namby-pamby pony lover was Dragon Lord. And he had been so close...

Dragon Lord Spike's order didn't make things any better.

Seriously, who actually hugs another dragon? It's just... wrong.

And he had to hug all of them.

There was no way for this day to be any worse.
