Twilight is anxious. Her evil half, Midnight Sparkle, lives on in her head, and she fears for her return, should she falter in her control of her mind. Sunset Shimmer truly believes that the evil portion of her, Supernova Shimmer, is gone forever. Both of their worst fears come to pass when a new student. Winter Haze joins Canterlot High, and all hell breaks loose.

Hey everyone, so it’s been a bit... had college work to do and such.

This does take place in the Burning Star Saga universe, but there are new characters. Most of who are related to the Mane Six.

Anyways, while Dusk Shine is often the name of the Rule 63 Twilight, here in my universe he is Twilights Cousin.

While on a vacation from college staying with his cousin Twilight, Dusk Shine chronicles and experiences the strange things that magic has brought into the light. But as the days go on and more and more things are revealed by the light of reality, more and more dangerous things start creeping through the cracks.

Humans will learn that sometimes, in order to keep their world from coming apart, some things should be left very much alone.

In order to get context for this story, please read The Black Sun. It will give context for the entire thing.

Two very different people, but all that changes when the two of them are chosen by red & yellow lantern rings to be their new bearers. Now Flash must struggle to control his rage & Midnight must control her fear, all the while, the two must try to use their new found power for good and to help people while also not letting the power control them.

Explanation of how CHS works in this story

After being defeated by the real Kairi and fading into darkness, I thought that it was the end for me... how wrong I was. Finding myself in a forest alone and without a purpose wasn't something that I planned but that's life, I guess. Now I plan to carve my own path and story as I make my way back to civilization - with or without force. At least I have a friend who'll help me out - she reminds me of Roxas so much...
