Flash Magnus fought dragons, spent a thousand years in Limbo, and helped defeat the Pony of Shadows. He's the Pillar of Bravery, and nothing in Equestria scares him anymore.

Nothing, that is, except for some reckless stuntponies and their audacious leader Lightning Dust. It doesn't take Flash and Lightning long to realize that they can't stand one another—so how come they can't stop thinking about each other?

It's the big wedding between Princess Twilight Sparkle and future Prince Flash Sentry, and everyone in Equestria is excited. Captain Flash Magnus of the Royal Guard is very happy to see his decedent marrying the girl of his dreams, but he cannot wish that he was in his place. Long ago, Flash Magnus had fallen in love with Somnambula, but discovered she loved another and kept his feelings a secret. With the wedding almost here, Magnus wonders if there is a second chance for them and soon finds out his answer upon meeing Somnambula the evening before the wedding.

Flash Magnus has always strove to be an example of bravery ever since being designated as a pillar of one. There hasn't been a challenge yet that he has been unable to conquer.

But now the pegasus faces a test like no other. He must confront and confess his feelings of love towards a fellow pillar, in this case to his fellow pegasus Somnambula.

As he works up the nerve to tell the pillar of hope how he feels, Flash is unaware that Somnambula has a confession of her own to make. And it's one that might just upend everything he plans to do.

Rainbow Dash finds a book from Celestia and Luna's childhood in the Castle of the Two Sisters, one that details their exploits in pranking. Obviously, she has to give them a try. And drag a few other creatures into her schemes as well.

Wind Rider has been stripped of his Wonderbolt's status; all his accomplishments left in the dust of the great Rainbow Dash. Now he'll spend the rest of his days reminiscing over when he was the idol of young pegasi all over Equestria. But when he meets the pony who inspired him to become a Wonderbolt though, he gains a new perspective.

Created as my Drama entry for the 2023 Thousand Words Contest.

Magnus didn't think anything of it. He was just going to spend some quality time with his friends in Manehattan, having some drinks. But then, when Stygian the lightweight has too many drinks, Flash is the one who has to take him back to their hotel. But his feelings on the matter change as he gets Stygian to his room.

After all, he does look pretty cute in that sweater vest.

When the CMC first read the story that prompted them to break Cheerilee and Mac's love potion, perhaps it was for their own good that it was the abridged version.

After all, some ponies are unfortunate enough to witness history being made... and empires being unmade.
