Spike, a minor fire god and the adopted brother of Twilight, Goddess of Magic, regularly visits a field of flowers and frolicks there, attempting to get away from his sister's smothering.

Unbeknowst to him, he is being watched by Discord, the god of Chaos and Disharmony, from his realm. Discord, taken with the young god's beauty, hatches a plot to steal him from the mortal realm. With Spike gone, Twilight's domain is locked down, and the mortals of Equus have lost access to magic.

Will romance blossom between the two deities, or will they be split apart?

Inspired by the myth of Hades and Persephone. Discord and Spike have human forms, but occasionally switch to anthro forms.

So this story is going to feature many miniature versions of characters from across the Multiverse. Please be advised this is written for the sake of joking around which is in fact how the main idea for this story has come about. My dear friend Unknown_Griffin and I were passing off jokes to each other when the idea of a beer size Papyrus came about. We were talking about how tall that character is, 6ft 1inch, and I added bet that Twilight would get a real kick by asking him about how a skeleton could move without muscle mass

We kept exchanging certain interviews and aftermaths that could spring from certain characters antics. Thus this was born. There will be continuity {insert Silver Quill} for certain characters returning for another session. So hope you enjoy what follows.

Twilight's an alicorn.

Spike is confused. And stressed. Suffice to say, he's in a pretty bad place. Not to worry. Rather then surrender to the incoming emo wave, he decides to take a quick vacation. Get his head straight and all. Oh. He forgot to tell anyone about it.

Well, he left a note, so that's good, right?

This started off as a silly experiment with something.

It is a normal day in Ponyville, where normal ponies do things that are normal.

Spike has hit his growth spurt making him happier than ever before... for about two weeks before he realized he was still the same, just taller and lanky. He still makes most of the chores around the castle, takes notes, reads comics, runs errands around town, and helps his friends whenever he can.

He's the same dragon he was before. The same coloration. The same appetites. The same hobbies. The same likings. The same fears.

The same weakling.

The same coward.

The same Spike.

He decides it's time for that change once and for all. And he knows exactly who to go to for that.

After making a terrible mistake with time travel, Twilight Sparkle begins to fade from existence.

But not before using the opportunity to advance the cause of science.

Hearth’s Warming is a time for tradition, for decorating the Hearth’s Warming Tree and drinking hot chocolate and most importantly not telling Discord what you’re up to because of course he’ll want to show up to ‘help’ and before too long the hot chocolate has collapsed into a singularity and everypony’s yelling at each other and then the tree explodes.

Spike's been getting better and better at flying, and asks Discord to come with him for 'flying exercises'.

Really he just wants to laugh at Discord's lackluster flying capabilities.

Mushy relationship fluff, hints at sexual content. Spike's gotten older and they banter like an old married couple.
