The end of the year fast approaches, and despite a warm and wonderful Hearth's Warming with friends and family, Starlight Glimmer still feels that tug of guilt weighing down her life. How can she be confident about her leadership when specters of her past still occasionally plague her? What good is a new year only an hour or so away when it's still tainted by regret?

Starlight may have progressed much, but sometimes, a pony needs somepony else to rely upon. One who sees where the truth really lies.

Written for the Yuri contest as a non-eligible but in spirit entry to the contest, under the "Toxic" and "Doomed" categories. Beware of implied sex and some more "adult" things I guess.

I have been wanting to write something for a long while, and this just randomly came to me so I wrote and proofread it in like 2 hours. Partially inspired by TCC56's "The first one's free"

Sunset Shimmer is a good guy now. She follows the rules, protects the innocent, and puts others ahead of herself. She likes being a good guy.

Adagio Dazzle is still a bad guy. She disobeys authority, preys on the weak, and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. She likes being a bad guy.

As it turns out, there's a lot of fun to be had in the grey area between them.

A poorly-written nonsense story in which Starlight gets one wish from Derpy Hooves. The wish goes awry and Starlight finds herself with a rhyming ability.

With Rainbooms having their final year Canterlot High, aside from exams, homework, and the occasional drama that goes on around them, they still have to defend Canterlot City from not cracks of Equestria Magic, but also a crew of super villains that are intent on destroying it.

They promised Equestria a golden age.

The inheritors of night and day, alicorns of sun and stars, were going to rule together, inherit the throne from Celestia and Luna. All were expecting them. They loved each other, and wanted nothing but to do this together for a thousand years.

Except...

Princess Sunset Shimmer has died. Her wife, Princess Twilight Sparkle, won't let her go.
This is the beginning of their new age.
