A group of four ambassadors travels through the Everfree Forest to reach Ponyville, where they meet with Princess Celestia in the hopes of acquiring some royal aid. The convoy consists of Crimson Lance, a stern warrior-governor in gleaming armor; a rebellious earth pony and a quiet pegasus; and a diligent but severely powerless unicorn, Sour Note, whose only wish is to impress Crimson, her idol.
