She recently moved to London to study. I'm happy for her, but sad for me. I wanted to see her play in Colorado. Anyway:
If you ever asked me what my favorite video game was, I'd have several responses. For platforming games, Super Mario 64 is dear to my heart. For RPGs, Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger are tied. And for strategy games, I would absolutely have to go with the Fire Emblem series. Yes; as in the whole series.
Okay, so this is basically just going to be me ranting here. Just a fair warning. Also a little NSFW.
Okay, so a few of you may know that there was a classic cartoon x MLP crossover contest going on. I don’t know if it’s over, but I do know that it has happened. I know someone who entered it, and I glanced through the ruleset. It seems like an interesting concept, one that has interestingly not been tried much, and I think it’d be fun to participate in.

I just watched the movie last night......and it’s trash.
Morbius is one of the most dogshit superhero films I’ve ever seen. Sony, please do yourselves a favor and don’t ever make a film like this ever again. I bet you’re really proud of yourselves for spoon-feeding the audience with bland mediocrity over and over.
Ugh, it made me half-asleep while watching it.
These words are awful, and you shouldn't use them unironically. Or at all, really. May be updated periodically if I find another stupid noun that makes me visibly flinch.

So, I just got done reading the copyright and fair use laws. Ugh... basically, it's impossible for artists and other creators to turn a profit on their works (fan fiction or fan art) even when it's pretty obvious the "product" is not official. I guess some companies are pretty lenient, but when I can't seel my drawings because, god forbid, some asshole thinks my character is copyrighted -ahem- DA prints reviewer -cogh- by someone who didn't create her.
Okay, this is not really a review but more of a rant, sadly...
So, first of, I love Assassin's Creed and I think Plums has the potential to be a good author.
That said...
Anyone who celebrates this can eat their ass off. Why?
I don't have a problem with ideas, I love them just as much as the next person, but I feel like I want to say something a little antagonising (or maybe it's not and I'm blowing it out of proportion). I think ideas for a story are relatively easy.

It's not what you think.
People who park in bus lanes. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen my bus pulling up, everyone ready to go... only to be held up by some dipshit parked in the bus lane with his hazard lights on, cheerfully oblivious to the bus driver blasting his horn or the passengers giving him filthy looks. And when he does move on, he always has an indignant "what did I do?" expression on him.
Seriously, people, move your bloody cars.

I think I've dealt with more drama since I joined Displaced than I've put up with ever in my life at all. When did writing about colorful equines become such a problem?

I just realized I got overly ambitious, to a ridiculous level. I really like the series Log Horizon (the anime, I haven't read any of the written works yet), so much so I started using some of it as a template for both a story and a game. The hundredth episode is in just over twenty-four hours. It's been getting ALL the hype. And I'm alongside my friends in my eagerness - by sweet Luna's saltlick, I want this to be a fun one! Who cares about story or pacing? I'm ready for shenanigans!
So today was sweat-balls-off day apparently. Yesterday no one came in to stock up our reserves on beer in the cooler. Had to open up so many boxes and pack away over a couple hundred fucking bottles today alone.
Typically, I only have to do twenty, because we had someone the night before, but nope! Not yesterday, apparently almost everyone called out for Easter, I wasn't scheduled to work that day, so when I got in I was fucking shocked to see our reserves down to nil.
So a couple days ago, The Fine Brothers – they of the "REACT" videos – decided to launch a new licensing venture. This caused the internet (youtube and reddit) to go into meltdown. I've been watching the fireworks all day.
Don't usually do this, but I need to get this off my system.
It's not just that, oh no. Major store chains specifically wait until Christmas to bring their mascots out, make a spiffy new ad to make kids buy toys (sometimes they don't even bother doing that), then bring them back into hiding until next Christmas.
