[Rant] It's May the Fourth! · 7:49pm May 4th, 2017
Anyone who celebrates this can eat their ass off. Why?
I'm usually not this nasty so I apologize for how suddenly rude this may seem, but I'm so utterly tired of people seeing an unfortunate pun in a date and immediately associating it with Star Wars. "May the Fourth be with you" is stupid, plain and simple. But I'm not a complete asshole; if you want to celebrate it, I don't give a shit. But just letting you guys know that the actual Star Wars day is the following:
May 25th
That was the day that Star Wars was released and what should be the actual Star Wars day. But do you understand now why I'm so angry with this day? Instead of celebrating the anniversary of one of THE most beloved movies ever created, we're celebrating it on a joke day. Imagine, if you will, if your name was April Third, which can be a real name. Instead of celebrating your birthday in June, you're celebrated on April the 3rd NOT for the day you were brought into this world but rather because of your name. And no, your birthday isn't celebrated later so you don't get cake and presents.
Now how do you feel?
I'm probably overreacting about this again, which now that I think about it I probably am, but I seriously can't stand this day. Every thread on this site ONLY on this day and never May 25 is "Today is Star Wars day!" and "I can't believe it's Star Wars day!" and "My family hates me!".
...maybe not that last one. But I still see it everywhere!
Anyway, that's my rant for the day. See you all again soon. And I'm sorry if this upset anyone, I just wanted to get my opinion out. And feel free to criticize my opinion as well since "It's my opinion, don't criticize me" has absolutely no weight to it on the internet anymore. But trust me, that's a story for another day.
Nah I don't blame ya. The actual day should be celebrated, only reason it's today is because people love their shitty puns. Hell, I made a pretty shit one yesterday and I laughed. So I totally do understand where your coming from.
Personally, I just treat May 4 as Sci-fi day. In short I treat the day as a celebration of all things science fiction. What do you think of that? End of line

) Like right now, I'm a bit iffy on picking up the new Fire Emblem now that Nintendo's confirmed the DLC will cost more then the game itself, and contain some very not insignificant content, including a full on prologue story sequence. I'll still pick up Echoes since the base story IS included, but the whole thing feels a bit scummy to me. Like their taking advantage of the Fire Emblem fans who want a traditional game back. I imagine you and I may not agree 100% on that, so I'm curious to hear your thoughts on that situation.

I didn't know about this, but I absolutely agree with you. Sounds like they're trying another Fire Emblem Fates minus the "Fates" part. Still, we have YouTube for a reason, so if ever you wanted to know the backstory of the game you can just hop on there and see for yourself.
Plus, Prologue and Epilogue DLCs have cost money before. I will admit not THIS much, but it's nothing new.

Well to be fair, it's a Season pass and most of the DLC is dungeons, with the story DLC being limited to one, $13 dollar item. It's 45 for everything, or 51 separately. The full plan is.
