[Review/Rant] Transformers: The Last Knight · 5:07pm Jun 25th, 2017

Yeah, it sucks.

Oh, I'm sorry, did you want a REASON why it sucks as bad as it does? Because, ladies and gentlemen, this is yet another re-release of the first movie. The first movie was so popular that Michael Bay thought it was a good idea to just release the same movie over and over and over and over again instead of actually making a new film, or a sequel if you will.

No, instead of something actually fucking original, Michael Bay decided it was a good idea to just squish some explosions, boobs, nerds and giant robots into a movie and call it a day. Again. FOR THE FORTH TIME. Look, I wouldn't be so mad if this was the second movie and it was just a repeat of the first movie, tons of movies do that and at the end of the day you feel satisfied enough to say "okay, yeah, that was pretty good I guess", but this is the forth time this has happened, not the first or the second or the third, the forth. And I say forth because I actually still like the first movie because it wasn't THE SAME FUCKING THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN--

I'm losing my cool, I'm sorry.

If you want to see the fifth Transformers movie, go buy the first movie and enjoy that, because you are seriously and legitimately not missing anything from not watching the other four movies. Transformers: The Last Knight is quite literally the first movie again with nothing new to add to the "plot" of the film franchise.

Actually, here's a chance to explain where this film series differs from stuff like Marvel. The Marvel cinematic universe is basically the same movie over and over again and I accept this, but the Marvel movies has things that Transformers doesn't such as a continuing and coherent plot and clever writing and actions scenes that don't all look the same.

In Transformers, the plot is garbage and reused constantly for each movie, the writing boils down to nothing BUT stereotypes and women flashing their tits around, and the actions scenes either take place in a city or a desert.

Marvel movie fight scenes take place in cities and deserts, sure, but they also take place in flying aircraft carriers, abandoned snow forts with huge elevators, literally an alternate dimension and even one time inside a living planet. Though again I can admit Marvel movies are repetitive and should fall under the same category as Transformers, this change in scenery always gives an impression we're seeing something new and interesting, and impressions are a HELL of a lot better than blatantly giving us the same thing over and over.

There's nothing I can do to stop Michael Bay from making these films. So long as they keep making money, for some reason, he'll continue to make them. And if you found this blog to be hypocritical, you're right! I do hold a bias towards Marvel movies because they're still entertaining for me, but they're still fun to watch and witty and clever and action-packed and sometimes even sad, and though they are repetitive they at LEAST aren't the same movie over and over again.

This was more of a rant than it was a review, but I'll give a review score of the movie at the end.

Anyway, that was my rant for the day. Hope you all enjoyed and I'll see you all next time!

Really I guess human beings say other wise but I won't see it unless I'm forced to

And it's completely your choice. :ajsmug:

Okay, so you actually saw the movie?

Please, tell me how this guy did.

4582797
Pretty damn close.
Like scarily close.

4582818 What'd he get wrong?

Meh, I lost interest in Transformers pretty quick. My favorite character was killed in the first movie, and I just got tired after the second.

4582822
Nothing really. To be totally honest I think he did see the movie beforehand and is playing this up for laughs.

4582833
Jazz? Was I right? Again, not really super into the lore.

4582841
Yep. Dude was hilarious, then he got killed.:ajbemused:

The Transformers movies are a good example of the definition of Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

4582884
Holy shit, you're actually right! Thanks!

.......... *realizes I'm the only one who liked it*......... i-i'll just.... i'll see myself out..... okay then.

The Remake of The Mummy...was crap btw

So the Nostalgia Critic was right!

... I'll just sit on my corner with the hammy old movie about a robot war in space with the surprisingly fitting Weird Al music.

4582953
Yeah, I heard. Didn't see it because not even I have that kind of patience.

4582991
Oh damn, was he ever! :rainbowlaugh:

4583485
That's what you get when you have Weird Al voice one of your characters in the show.

4583569
I feel like everyone is judging me for daring to like this.

4583576
That's because everyone is.

4583593
That is not something I needed.
