I don't think I've laughed...or cried...as much as I have during a My Little Pony episode as I did with this one. My God, it was the perfect balance of hilariousness and seriousness. This could have been a disaster of an episode, but holy fuck it was the exact opposite. It was AMAZING.
So it hasn't been exactly the best year, really. While I've had a record amount of commissions, it's cut into personal writing time. There's also the whole "working with actual horses" thing, and the fact that, you know, that seems to be even more of a passion for me than writing is. Not that I'm planning to stop writing or anything.
Of course new adventures bring new pains, too. Early in the year, the first horse I'd ever trained died suddenly and unexpectedly. That sucked.
Interesting title...Let's get on with it.
Heh. Pretty amusing seeing Celestia prance around like a filly. 
...Celestia is gonna try to act...this is gonna be bad. I seriously believe so.
Well, I can at least give Celestia credit for being honest about her acting experience, or lack thereof. *sigh* This is gonna be painful to watch.

Another 10 hour day at work. I come home completely exhausted past 7. And it looks like tomorrow's gonna be another one. At least I got a bunch more notes done and quite a bit of research put in.
A noteworthy week, but only because I'm sick. Again.
Imma try to sleep it off. Go read about monsters in the biblical sense in the meantime.
So... as those who read the summary of Chapters of a Revamped Tome know, my AU in general is meant to retool parts not only of the animated series (both My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Equestria Girls), but also certain parts of expanded media elements.
What pony am I most like?
The reason I'm asking this is because I've seen quite a lot of people posting pictures of cartoon pastel horse characters they're attached to. I could technically pick whoever for this, and under normal circumstances I'd pick my favorite, but I honestly don't know which one that is at this point since there's quite a lot of characters I'm attached to.
A few months ago I came across a project on Twitter called Lords of Ponykeep. It's like our favorite little ungulate universe, but not. The art style is distinct, heavily inspired by Paper Mario and classic Dungeons-and-Dragons style tabletop games. The story revolves around a city in a realm kept in perpetual moonlight, and it is up to you and other players to crawl through the city's many dungeons and restore balance. Dare you all meet at the
Horse movie was good.
Really good.
Had some good horses in it.
Especially this one:
She's the best horse.
I might write a story with her in it soon.
Now I return to my lurking while listening to Gonna Be My Day and Glowin' Up on repeat.

So those who are fans are probably wondering where the heck is the next chapter of Darkness Unbound. It is in the works believe me, I am just going through some adaptations. As I have mentioned I got a new job recently with a big tech company. Taking the job meant I had to move back to my hometown, and thus moving back in with my parents. Sadly my childhood home is a bit smaller than I had before, meaning no quiet spaces or a desk to work at.

I have a lot of unfinished stories, pony and otherwise. My approach to writing is Darwinian -- I start whatever I feel like, and let the best story win. Lately, though, I've been focusing on my original novel Hidemarket and writing mainly dumb clop for ponyfic. Because clop is a fun and easy break from the hard work of writing serious fiction. More serious ponyfic has been on hold while I chase my dreeeeaaaammms. 
I've about HAD IT with the Bureau of Land Management. I just read an article about what they plan to do with the wild horses, and I am getting very angry as I read the lines. They're making one bad plan after bad plan. They think it's for "population control" when all they'll end up doing is endanger them or drive them extinct! They need to know when to back the fuck off and leave things as they are, because NO ONE in their right minds would allow them to do this.
