It's Spitfire's birthday and Soarin decides to take on the role of leader for a day, while he has Rainbow Dash distract Spitfire with a test of skills between the two before the big surprise.
(Story idea requested by superfun. Takes place before "The Last Problem".) As Spitfire prepares to retire and hoof the reigns to Rainbow Dash as captain of the Wonderbolts, she reflects back on her time with the team and her own time as captain.

Soarin goes into a deep depression over what he said to Rainbow Dash about banning her from the Wonderbolts during the events of "Rarity Investigates."
