While Michael is on the Computer with his friend on Skype there is a loud explosion sound just outside his window. What he doesn't know is that what he finds would soon change his life forever. This is not based off of my little dashie so don't get the wrong idea.

Roseluck is a typical mare, and she works with her bestfriends Daisy and Lily in a store she owns. This store is called "Got Ya' Rose!" But behind this working mare, let alone any mare are the many experiences they have.
Whenever the holiday "Hearts and Hooves day" was around the corner, her store would have many couples browsing her goods.
This holiday was meant for love. A very close and sacred love between couples. But for Roseluck it would mean having to revisit sad memories, and drowning them with little amounts of alcohol.
These memories would be the loss of trust within the other gender, through a Pegasus named Ace Swift.
But by her side would be her two friends and a special stallion to help her regain her confidence.
This is a story about the regaining of Roseluck's confidence through the help of many ponies.
While she herself tries to help another mare with her love troubles as well.

She's just so amazing. Everything about her should be praised from her beautiful red mane to her lemonade like fur. I can't help but watch, due to my own fear of spontaneously combusting by her beauty. Even now I run a risk.

I only watch her from the outskirts of her view, her not leaving mine as I sit in the background.

(This story will be written in a new type of style I'm trying to produce involving poetic undertones and not-so long chapters. There will be future appearances from the cast and longer chapters in the future)

I've always loved living in Canterlot. It was never particularly "bad". Everypony was classy and kind. Just like me. Or so I thought. Sometimes, a mare needs a change of scenery. To get away from the evils of discrimination. I guess that's why I moved to Ponyville. To get away from the sight of discrimination against Ponyvillians. I never guessed that the decision to move to Ponyville, would be the thing that would lead me to the mare of my dreams. My name is Octavia. I am a violinist, and former cellist and resident of Canterlot. I am going to tell you the story of how I met the greatest pony in the world, the mare of my dreams and how my feelings for her grew as I lived with her. The story of the greatest decision of my life.

Every story has a beginning, middle, and end. But mine, the story of my life, is far from interesting. My hobbies, my work, my cutie mark, all are dull. Flowers and poems ruled my life, until I fell in love.

My name is Roseluck, and this is the only story I have worth telling.

This is a story about Colton Vines and Daisy as well as some of the other background characters.

Roseluck hates Hearts & Hooves Day. She's always been a single mare, and spending the entire day selling flowers is not her idea of a good time. She was hoping things would be different this time around, and who knows? Maybe things will finally change for the downtrodden mare.

Obviously, the title is a play on words of the Poison song, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn".

After purchasing a pin-up calender for a nature fundraiser, Fluttershy develops a crush on one of its subjects. They're just so subdued, so elegant, and yet still so confident and charismatic... They're everything Fluttershy is and everything she is not in one beautiful package.

When Twilight "offers" to introduce the two, it seems like a dream come true. After all, this is destiny; they're a perfect match, meant to be together.

What could possibly go wrong?

But alas: Spoilers.
